    Hi,

I’m currently updating my website to the latest WP version (4.4.2).
After updating visual composer it was time to update the Legenda theme.

Everything updated without any errors, but when I checked the site I found that my background images didn’t show up anymore. If I check my firebug-log I see that they are loaded in the head of my website and if I edit a page and disable visual composer I see, in the text view, that the background images are loaded.

If I open up visual composer they aren’t there.

I have downloaded the website/database to a testing environment for you to check and the non-updated version of the website (see private content)

    Hope it’s something small.

    Best regards,
    Marcel

    Hello,

Could you please specify what versions on Visual Composer and theme you had used before?

    Thank you.
    Best regards,

    Hello,

The versions I had used before are:
    – WordPress 4.3.3
    – Theme 2.9
    – Visual Composer 4.6.2

    Hope this helps!
If you need more info regarding versions on other plugins?
In a previous post I gave you access to the un-updated version so all the information is there!

    Best regards.

    Hello,

Unfortunately some element features and settings have been modified in the new Visual Composer version. So some sections that you created in the previous version have to be rebuilt. In this case you have to re-add background images on home page. It’s not related to our theme, because if you switch to default WordPress theme you’ll see the same issue.

    Best regards,
    Jack Richardson.

    Hi Jack,

Sorry but I absolutely don’t agree with what you are saying.

You sold me the theme with the use of the visual composer plugin.
If the visual composer changes its core you should make your theme adapt to those changes and not let the problem be my problem. I bought this as a package.

I have updated all the plugins without the theme update and everything works fine.
Just after the theme update the fault occurs.

To make sure this is the problem; I did the following
Started with the old version where everything worked fine:
    – Updates WordPress (everything works fine)
    – Updated Legenda Theme (backgrounds don’t work anymore)
    – Updated Visual Composer (backgrounds don’t work anymore)

I did the same but changed the order of updating:
    – Updates WordPress (everything works fine)
    – Updated Visual Composer (everything works fine)
    – Updated Legenda Theme (backgrounds don’t work anymore)

So please check again why this happens.

    Best regards.

    Hello,

We can’t access “staging” site now. Credentials are incorrect. Please check them.

    Best regards,
    Jack Richardson.

I experienced this problem upon updating also. Legenda 2.11 seems to have changed the way it refers to and handles background images, so as a result of the update, all of my background images have been kicked out. I guess we just have to go around the site looking for the blank spots and reset them one by one?

    Hello @Kylie,

Please show us the direct link to the page where background images disappeared.
Also give us WP Dashboard and FTP credentials in private content.

    Best regards,
    Jack Richardson.
