Hello, i installed Classico Woocommerce with WPML and almost all is working fine. I have some translations (as “Email to friend” on product page) that are not translated, even if they are set in the default.po file (located in wp-content/themes/classico/languages ).
Only way i found to have it translated, is to change the
define(‘ET_DOMAIN’, ‘etheme’) -> define(‘ET_DOMAIN’, ‘woocommerce’)
into wp-content/themes/classico/framework/init.php
Is there a way to set it on child-theme? (in order to avoid to re-edit the init.php file after theme update) or is there a setting somewhere that i missed?
Thank you for the nice theme!
Lorenzo
PS: i’m developping on a local machine, the site is not visible in internet.
i guess i found similar problem (not yet solved) on other topic

Hello,
Could you please upload your site to any web host and provide us with FTP and WP Dashboard credentials in private content?
Thank you.
Best regards,

Hello, i hope the following connection is working.
it is just the basics installation with Classic demo data. I have official WPML too, bul i’ll activate just on future production site.
just to be clear, the site is in italian (backend too) and Classico is the only originally english addon. All texts introduced by Classico framework seems to stay in english. “Add to cart” that was already present in woocommerce without Classico, is translated without problem.
Feel free to change the backend in english if more confortable for debug.

ooops, my fault!
Hello,
You need also check translation for parent Classico theme:
http://storage5.static.itmages.com/i/16/0310/h_1457632848_7603574_24bcd262da.png
Please translate it too and check the page after that.

Hello,
that “Classico” domain is what i was trying to get.
On my local machine i enabled string translations, i did a scan and several new translations appeared, but no sight of the “Classico” or “Classico-Child” domain.
I tried to follow the WPML guide (https://wpml.org/documentation/getting-started-guide/theme-localization/) but i don’t have a clue. I see there are 403 items in “default” but i cannot get them found in Classico…
What i’m doing wrong?
Thanks!!
Hello,
You need activate parent theme Classico, then go to WPML > Theme and plugins localization, in the section “Strings in the theme” you need tick these options http://storage1.static.itmages.com/i/16/0311/h_1457682264_5113422_f523ff6e1a.png and click “Scan the theme for strings”. After the strings are scanned you can translate classico strings in String Translation.
Thank you.
Best regards,
Jack Richardson.
Ok, your help has been really precious.
I did the scan just after i activated the child, instead of do it before, with the parent theme set.
All working fine, thank you again for your patience!
Lorenzo
