I have the same problem. Tried both WordPress upload and FTP install. After FTP install, I got to themes. At the bottom is a section for “Broken Themes,” where is says this:
The following themes are installed but incomplete. Themes must have a stylesheet and a template.
Name Description
Royal_Multi-Purpose_Wordpress_Theme Stylesheet is missing.
Please help!

Hello @hartleyjewelers,
You installed the theme incorrectly.
I’ve reuploaded the theme package.
But you have php version 5.2 and must update it to 5.3 version to make the theme active.
Please ask your host to change php version.
Thank you.
Regards,
Eva Kemp.
Okay. I am working with my host to upgrade php. Thanks. But, I installed the theme both through WordPress’ upload feature, then using FTP. What did I do wrong, so I don’t do it again in the future?
Hello @hartleyjewelers,
You uploaded the main archive “Royal_Responsive_WordPress_Theme.zip” but you had to extract it and inside of it there is another archive royal.zip which you should upload.
Regards,
Eva Kemp.
