I have Woopress V.2.2 and upgraded to WordPress 4.5.2 without checking if it was compatible. As a result, the whole site crashed with a syntax error (I forget what it is now). Anyway, I had an older version of WordPress which I reloaded & the site came back up. However in the Dashboard, I now see the message “An automated WordPress update has failed to complete – please attempt the update again now” and I can no longer Add Media to the Library. I have disabled all plugins (even WooCommerce 2.5.5 just to test) but still cannot Add Media. I’m going to restore a backup I have of the database but just wondering if Woopress 2.2 is compatible with WordPress 4.5.2 or should I just leave it alone?

    Please, contact administrator
    for this information.

    Hello linburnlane,

you are using outdated release of Woopress while latest version is 2.8.
Please make backup and update as described here: https://8theme.com/demo/docs/woopress/index.html#!/installation_upgrade

    Regards,
    Stan Russell.

Thanks Stan. So once I’ve done that, will it be OK to attempt the WP4.5.2 upgrade again?

Big thank you! I’ve updated to WooPress 2.8 and then did WordPress update to 4.5.2 and “Add Media” works again!
