Mobile version – huge vertical space + menu problem

theres a huge vertical space above the slide, how do i fox that?

also, clicking the main menu nothing happens and the menu options do not show.

Hello,

The reason is you selected “Solid Colored” option for your slide https://www.dropbox.com/s/zk7phckk0odhmy0/Selection_003.bmp?dl=0 , try to use Main/Background Image and upload your background picture instead of using it as a layer.

hey,
so i tried what you told me to do… but it is still kinda messed up on mobile version.

i believe it happens because the slider is set for full-screen. i guess a good solution would be to set a custom height for mobile version and crop the layers that overpass this height. is that possible?

I’ve changed slider layout to “Auto” and set custom slider sizes for desktop and mobile.

thanks, that helps for future projects… but i think in this case its better i Hide the entire slider when the screen is under 460 px of width…. but i can only find how to disable layers under certain width… so, could you tell me please how to disable the entire slider? thanks eva 🙂

Hello,

Please see the screenshot http://storage8.static.itmages.com/i/16/0926/h_1474916952_9458382_61868fa369.jpeg , edit slider settings for mobile layout and set width under which you want to hide the slider.

so, i did that. it hides the slider, but then it shows a huge blank space where the slider should be 🙁

Hello,

Please add this code in Custom CSS for mobile section:
```
.page-heading-slider .wpb_revslider_element {
   display: none;
}
```
I’ve enabled the option “Include styles from “Ultimate Addons for Visual Composer” on every page” in Theme Options > General. Clear browser cache and check mobile menu now.

ok thanks, the slider is out on mobile version… but…

1 – The Menu is still not working on my android cellphone. I click on it and nothing happens

2 – how do i turn into black the menu/logo background ?? ps: i want it black only for mobile, when there’s no slider under it!

1. Please update the theme to the latest version and the plugins Ultimate VC Addons, Visual Composer, Slider Revolution https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/

2. Add this code in Custom CSS for mobile:
```
.header-type-3.slider-overlap {
   background-color: black;
}
```

dont see the royal theme to download on the page you sent me… only the royal child theme.

shall i update only the child theme?

ps: i figured that not only this one: http://boardcamp.com.br/dhiegocorrea
but also other sites that i designed with the royal child theme ( http://cincobras.com.br and http://sanntalolla.com.br ) have the same problem: on mobile version, menu does not work! i click on the menu icon and nothing happens! but, they were all working fine before!

ps2: i have made changes on the functions.php file of the child themes… will i lose these changes once i update the child theme?

Hello,

You need download the plugins at this page https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/ . Theme can be downloaded on TF site https://themeforest.net/item/royal-multipurpose-wordpress-theme/8611976 , log in to your account and find the archive in Downloads section.

You mustn’t update child theme! Update only parent theme!
Create full backup of the site before starting update process.

ok, already updated all the plugins via ftp… a little confused about the theme updating: do i have to download the entire theme ZIP file (214 MB) then reinstall the theme?

Hello,

Please watch our tutorial how to update the theme

(it’s for Legenda theme but the process is the same).

You don’t need to reinstall the theme, just overwrite “royal” folder with new version via FTP.
