Hi,
I’ve paid for the full version of revolution slider as my hosting company told me the original revolution slider plugin that came with Legenda theme was causing errors and that maybe because it’s out of date. I just deleted the revolution slider that came with Legenda and installed the most updated version of the plugin but when I tried to enter the purchase code, it says wrong purchase code.. I went to the plugin website and it says it may be because of the following:
1. Your purchase code is from your theme.
Many themes for sale include Slider Revolution as well. But if you want to unlock the premium features available for Slider Revolution, you’ll need to become a Direct Customer first.
Additional information:
https://www.themepunch.com/faq/purchase-code-registration-faqs/
2. Your theme restricts purchase code registration.
Some themes include special code in an attempt to avoid confusion. And often this code permanently “resets” the plugin’s purchase code registration.
Options for when your theme disables purchase code registration:
Contact your theme’s author and ask if they can provide you with a version of the theme that does not constantly reset your purchase code registration.
Temporarily switch to the TwentySixteen theme, which will allow you to register the purchase code normally, and then perform certain tasks such as updating the plugin or installing a premium template.
Contact our support center where we can provide some advice as to where this special code can be found and possibly removed.
Could you please let me know how to resolve this? I’ll put my account login and the purchase code in the private content below.
Thanks,
Sophie
Hello,
You need edit the file legenda/framework/theme-functions.php, remove the code
if(function_exists( 'set_revslider_as_theme' )){
set_revslider_as_theme();
}
in line 917.
And you’ll be able to register the plugin.
Best regards,
Jack Richardson.
Where can I find the file legenda/framework/theme-functions.php?
Hello,
Connect to your server via FTP (use FileZilla client https://filezilla-project.org/download.php?type=client ) and go to the directory wp-content/themes/legenda/framework. There you’ll find the file theme-functions.php.
Best regards,
Jack Richardson.
Will I be able to change that from my wordpress backend? My FTP is being managed by my hosting company so I don’t have access to it.
Also, if I remove the code, does it mean that I have to remove the code whenever I update the Legenda theme?
Thanks!
Hello,
Sorry, but you have to use FTP. To keep changes safe you need make changes in child theme. We can do this for you. Please provide FTP credentials and we’ll help you.

Hi Jack,
How should I update to the latest Legenda theme when my current activated theme is the child theme?
Thanks,
Sophie
Hello,
You need update your parent theme.
Before update delete “woocommerce” folder in the directory wp-content/themes/legenda/ and it’ll be reuploaded from a new theme package.
Don’t forget to create back up of your files and database before starting update process!
Here you can check video tutorial:
