"Search" text on search field - by anthonyc

    The product search text is currently “type here…” on desktop and “search” on mobile.

    I would like to change it into more prompting wording like “Find your favorite item…” etc.

    How to change it?

    It would be really great if it can be change via theme option.

    Hello,

    Unfortunately, we don’t have option in Theme Options to change it but you can use translation files and use translation filed just to change the text. Loco translate plugin will help you to do this in no time https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/theme-translation/base-theme-translation/

    I am planning to translate the site by using WPML later. If I use Loco translate plugin now, will it have any conflict with WPML?

    Hello,

    No, you won’t face any conflicts. Just disable LocoTranslate when you start using WPML.
