Update To Theme ? - by valueav - on WordPress WooCommerce support

    Hello i have been updating my wordpress and woocommerce and now some items in the backend are not working. I have been informed that this is because my theme has out dated files for woocommerce in it.

    I have downloaded the theme again and its last update was apparently
    created: 12/08/2014
    latest update: 09/28/2015
    by: 8theme

    Why has this theme not been updated ? and if it has where can i get the latest version as themeforest dont seem to have it and i can ill afford for my site to not be working correctly.

    Hello,

    Please try log in with your Envato account credentials and download the latest version in Downloads section https://themeforest.net/item/woopress-responsive-ecommerce-wordpress-theme/9751050. There are 2 archives with old and new theme version, please check and update your theme to the new one.

    will updating all the files overwrite the frontpage etc ?

    Hello,

    All theme files will be overwritten. If you have edited theme files – please move your customization to Child Theme.
    Before uploading theme files delete “woocommerce” folder, which is located in wp-content/themes/woopress/ to avoid problems with old files.
    Also, create full backup of your site files and database and also export theme settings in Theme Options > Import/Export > Options > Export Options to be able to restore your site to previous state if something goes wrong.
    You need to enter your purchase code to activate our new theme version and skip Setup Wizard.
    Also, update all required plugins https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/.

    Updated the theme and the plugins and now all seems to be working perfect.
