Can't Edit Pages - by Elimy - on WordPress WooCommerce support

    Hello,

    I’m wondering what I have to do with my problem…

    Since 2 days, I can’t edit my pages because Visual composer doesn’t appear on the “Edit page”

    I thought I needed update the theme… what I have done but nothing change. And all my plugings are updated too.

    So I can’t work on my website 🙁

    — Also, the last theme update let me with lot of english words – most on the chouckout page (however I made a french translation…)

    Hello,

    what is your Visual Composer version?
    The latest version is 5.2
    if our version of VC is older than 5.2 please update it and check.

    I replaced the folder with the last version but it’s always the same problem… nothing appears…

    It’s only works with classic mode, what it impossible to manage 😀

    I seen on my Wp dashboard that my Visual Composer version is still 4.6.
    Even after I replaced the folder (js composer) manually on my FTP…

    After that…
    I deleted it on the FTP, and after download the last version… and my website break down.
    It’s the same when I use the pluging page on dashboard. When I actived the pluging, my website break down…

    Hello,

    At first, you need update theme to 3.0.0.1 v (http://themeforest.net/item/woopress-responsive-ecommerce-wordpress-theme/9751050, log in with your Envato account credentials and free download the latest version in Downloads section)
    https://www.8theme.com/demo/docs/woopress/#!/installation_upgrade.
    Before uploading theme files delete “woocommerce” folder, which is located in wp-content/themes/woopress/ to avoid problems with old files.
    Don’t forget to create backup of your files and database before starting update process!
    You need to enter your purchase code to activate our new theme version and skip Setup Wizard.

    Then update all required plugins https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/.

    You can synchronize translation files after update to get new strings. Button Sync (Loco Translate plugin https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/theme-translation/base-theme-translation/) allows you to synchronize your translation file with updated pot file. It means if we made any changes in template files that may affect transaltion or we added new string for the translation and you updated theme you need to synchronize your translation with updated files. Only after synchronization you’ll be able to translate new strings or strings that were changed. You may lose only strings that were changed.

    I thought I already did it… from the dashboard…

    I really don’t understand.
    I can’t update the theme in the FTP without my website break down !

    I did as it’s notice : Extract WooPress_Theme_v.x.x.zip file and upload only extracted woopress folder to /wp-content/themes/ folder on your server… but as soon it’s done, my admin doesn’t work anymore.

    So I needed to come back to the last version.

    Only after synchronization you’ll be able to translate new strings or strings that were changed.

    I add the plunggin and I’m in the editor area… but I don’t see the Button Sync and the news words neither…

    In file info, I have this message :

    Missing template

    These translations are not linked to a POT file. Sync operations will extract strings directly from source code.

    I don’t understand.

    Hello,

    Please provide FTP credentials. I will try to sort out the problems and update the theme, plugins and check your translation. Also, confirm that you made the full backup of the site, DB and theme options (Theme Options > Import/Export > Options > Export Options).

    Differents things seem to be changed in the presentation in my pages. Can you give me some details :

    – You unactived Master Slider WP plugin ? (Ok I don’t use it)

    – Blog Layout : start of posts (text before < !–more– > code) aren’t in the Blog page anymore ?

    – Banner Block : Even if I choose horizontal align “Center”, it’s not always center anymore.

    I don’t find the problem in the page editor.

    And last thing : I still find some english words even if I translate them.

    Yes, I deactivated Master Slider plugin because the old version of this plugin created an issue with the new version of Visual Composer.
    I’ve changed this option http://prntscr.com/fun8by. Please check your blog now.

    Yes, you can change text domain in theme files, it will be temporary solution. This will be fixed and overwrite after theme update.

    Hello,

    Please try to disable 3-rd party plugins and then check your category pages.

    You can use this code in Custom css to change font size of fixed menu items:

    .fixed-header .menu > li a {
        font-size: 12px;
    }

    We will fix menu font options in new theme update.

    What do you means with 3-rd party plugins ?

    If yes, I don’t understand what It will change for every visitor.
    any way, I don’t really understand what to do. Is it a problem with my chrome plugins ?

    Also what about the size of text in the blog page ?
    Actually, i use a <span> to use a different text-size in the first pragraph of my body text, in the posts affected with the problem.

    Please provide screenshots to better understanding problem with text on blog page.

    Ok, so I have to unactive and try one by one until I find to one involved ?

    I have a new question.
    As I can choose which footer I use on my pages, is it possible to get different header ? Actually, I created different menu (so that it’s ok). But I also would like to change the logo image only on some page defined.

    Sorry for the delay.

    Yes, disable all the plugins and activate one by one to find which plugin causes the damage.

    Go to Edit page > Page Layout (Use custom footer for this page, Header type, Custom header, Custom navigation for this page, Logo image for this page).

    Ok, thanks a lot !

    A question :
    A scan of my webiste determined 2 files as “unsecured”
    “www/wp-content/screets-chats/links/special/public/jsonparser.php”

    “www/wp-content/languages/mo.php”

    So, I deleted them. I don’t use screets-chat, so no problems. But what is tis file mo.php ? Is it from the new theme version ?
    I thought I need to tell you this problem to know if it’s a problems from the plugins, from the new version, or independent… ?

    Hello,

    It is strange because folder of WordPress Live Chat Plugin should be in wp-content/plugins folder with name “screets-lc”.
    However, these files do not relate to our theme.
