Visual Composer and XStore theme - by decahalan

If I have visual composer and the theme activated I am not able to access the 8theme options and get a 500 internal service error. I also get the following error on the woocommerce options page “Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 268435456 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 9223372036860657664 bytes)”. Thats a huge amount of memory. Once i deactivate either VC or the xstore theme then i can access the theme options and all the errors seem to disappear. I even tried doing a fresh wordpress install. What is going on here?

Hi,

Please follow the steps here https://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP to increase the memory it will fix the issue. Give some bigger values like 256M. If that still didn’t work contact your webhost support, they may restrict you to access certain memory, they can elevate the memory value for you.

I upped the memory limit to 768M, which is the maximum that siteground allows on a managed account. It helped a bit but still having the same problem. “Allowed memory size of 805306368 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 6622839590912 bytes)”.

Hi,

In that case, I suggest you to contact the hosting guys, maybe they can limit using the wp-config.php way.

Or I suggest you to disable all the plugins and see this error goes away, after that enable plugins one by one to find what cause the issue.
