    Hello,

    1. To replace social icons goto Theme Options > Header > Header custom HTML and Static Blocks > edit your footer static block.
To get VC editor shown for static blocks go to wp dashboard > Visual Composer > Role Manager > Post Types > Custom > tick “static blocks”.
    2. Please disable demo footer blocks in Theme Options > Footer and add your content in Appearance > Widgets > Footer Copyright and Footer Links.
Feel free to ask if you have any other questions.

    Regards

    Hi, Rose

    Thanks for the response.

I would however like to know WHERE AND HOW do I add/remove links to the social media icons in the Royal theme. I want to add the link to their facebook page to the facebook icon, and remove some of the icons. Where do I edit these?

You did not answer that question clearly.

    Regards
    Stephan

    Hello,

In the header, you may see icons that create by our [share] shortcode http://prntscr.com/gtwlqu, these icons can’t be changed without changes in files, but you may create a static block > add Social links element and put needed links http://prntscr.com/gtwo0r, then go to Theme Options > Header Settings > Header custom HTML > add your static block by using shortcode [block id= ” “] https://www.8theme.com/demo/docs/royal/#!/1_static_blocks.
Feel free to ask if you have any other questions.

    Regards

    Hi, Rose

    Trust you are well.

I have finally uploaded my revised Royal theme onto the client’s domain: http://www.vdbj.co.za

I do however have two issues:

    1. The Google maps is not working at the moment: http://www.vdbj.co.za/contact-us/
    2. When you search ANY item, the default categories comes up like footwear etc. How can I remove ALL default categories, and set up the search function ONLY for items and info related to the REVISED template?

    Kindly advise.

    Regards
    Stephan

    Hello,

Hope you are having a nice day.
    1. Please read this topic https://www.8theme.com/topic/this-page-didnt-load-google-maps-correctly-see-the-javascript-console-for-tech/
    2. Sorry, but your question is a bit unclear for me. Could you please explain it in details?
You may delete categories here – http://prntscr.com/h8kx88

Also, go to Theme Options > Color Scheme > Fixed Header Text Color > Dark.
    Thanks in advance!

    Hi,

Thank you for the prompt response, I have managed to fix the Google Maps issue.

I have deleted all the catagories, but somehow, if you type anything in ‘Search’ at the top, it still goes to the ‘Catagories’ pages, even though there are no categories anymore. And even if you type in ‘Yellow Gold Ring’ – which is one of the items on the website, it does not navigate to the relevant item/place.

Is there a way to set the search bar to only look on the pages I created on this specific website? It should NOT NAVIGATE TO the categories page at all!

    Kindly advise.

Could you please provide wp-admin access in Private Content?
We’ll check what can be done to help you.

    Hi,

Herewith the details of the website, I would greatly appreciate it if you can resolve the ‘Search’ issue:

Kindly advise, as we don’t want any of the default template stuff to come up if you search something on the website, using the search bar at the top – ONLY information relevant to the current site data.

    Regards

    Please, contact administrator
    for this information.

    Hello,

Please update theme https://www.8theme.com/demo/docs/royal/#!/installation_upgrade and update all required plugins: https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/ http://prntscr.com/gtwfrk
Before uploading theme files delete “woocommerce” folder, which is located in wp-content/themes/royal/ to avoid problems with old files (it’ll be reuploaded from a new theme package).
Don’t forget to create backup of your files and database before starting update process!
You need to enter your purchase code to activate the theme and skip Setup Wizard.

Very likely after updates the problem will be solved.

    Regards
