I can't change Title & Description

Hello there,

I installed the theme, with the demo data, but I couldn’t change the IDSTORE that’s displayed in place of my website Name (in the header), besides in the wordpress settings I set my website name/title & description which is shown in all other themes, but in IDSTORE them it gives me only the Name which is: IDSTORE & no description except in the meta data, but no description displayed in the IDSTORE theme

there is another bug with the checkout page, but let’s start by fixing this first.

Navigate to Setting->General-> and select Site Title.

I did this plenty of times, & it’s set there already to the title I want but that setting is not reflected on the site header

This is most likely because you are working on a local server or you have cache enabled.

So what’s the solution? other themes don’t read the title from admin settings

Hello,

Please try to clear browser cache and check again. To change logo image you need go to Theme Options > Header and upload your own image.
What IdStore version are you using? Is it the latest one – 3.5?

First it’s 3.5
second: IDSTORE is text that can be highlighted with the mouse, besides it’s dynamic application the site name should be read from the database everytime the page is loaded, however I cleared the catch, I hit the Shift+F5, I even installed firefox browser & visited the site for first time, yet I still see the exact variant 4 that is shown & sellected in the Header section at the theme settings

Hello,

“IDStore” icon in the header is our logo. To change it you should go to Theme Options > Header > Logo image, and upload your own logo. Now it’s absent in the theme settings.
Concerning your site title, as you can see it isn’t shown in any type of the header in Theme Options.

Hello,

If you want to write your site name instead of our logo you need edit the file wp-content/themes/idstore/code/functions.php, find the code <a href="<?php echo home_url(); ?>"><span class="logo-text-red">ID</span>Store</a> (line 214) and replace the IDStore text with yours.

Now we’re talking, I tried to hard code my site name in the header file, but IDSTORE was still echoed in the fixed navigation bar

anyways, problem solved now.
