I am having problems with VC. We have a “Terms and Conditions” page that is linked to the checkout page. Customers who click on the Terms and Conditions link on the checkout page should see the terms and conditions page popup. However, all they get is the code for VC. I tried recreating the page with the same results.

I am on the latest Woocommerce, Legenda 3.3. I was thinking maybe Visual Composer needs to be updated, but I didn’t see any files to update it in the Legenda Theme download. We are currently on verion 5.1.1 of VC.

Is there an update I need to install? If so, I thought it was within the Legenda Theme packaging.

    Hello,

Here you may find latest versions of all required plugins – https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/ xhttp://prntscr.com/gwtc6h
As I see, you already updated woocommerce plugin to latest version, so please wait for next theme update that will be released within 1-2 days very likely after theme update the problem will be solved and the new theme version will be compatible with WC 3.2.0.

    Hello,

Please try to activate Storefront theme – official WC theme and check if you have this issue with our theme only or even with the official theme too. Let me know result.

I finally got around to testing this out with the Storefront theme. It works fine with that theme, but I still continue to have problems with Legenda.

As a recap “I am having problems with VC. We have a “Terms and Conditions” page that is linked to the checkout page. Customers who click on the Terms and Conditions link on the checkout page should be redirected to the TC page. However, all they see is the code for VC in a small popup window. I tried recreating the page with the same results.

I posted the login information in the private content area in an earlier post. Let me know how to proceed, or if you need me to resend the information.

    Thanks.

    Hello,

Please give me full access to your admin panel.
“Terms and Conditions” relate to woocommerce functionality and there is no option to open it in new window, also VC also doesn’t work in the “Terms and Conditions” window, even with the default theme.
If you found out that it works fine with Storefront, please provide screenshot.
    Thanks in advance!

I have updated to admin. Attached is the screen shot. I am doing the preview of the storefront theme and go to the checkout page and then click on the terms and condition link. You see the VC content briefly and then the TC page comes up.

I’ve checked the “Terms and Conditions” area with Storefront theme – official WC theme and here we get the same result as with our theme. I see that with Storefront child theme it works as you want, but it only means that you may achieve needed result via additional customisation in files.

I’m not sure I understand what you are saying as it relates to adding a customization file. I should not need to customize this functionality. All I am looking for is the default functionality, which currently is not working with the Legenda theme, but appears to be working with the Store Front theme.

If you add something to the shopping cart and then go to the checkout page and click on the words “Terms and Conditions”, just above the Proceed to Payments button it will popup with the Visual Composer text and not go to the T&C page. When I go into the preview mode for Store Front, when I click on the same text on the checkout page I get a brief popup with the VC text, but then it automatically goes to the terms and conditions page.

If I look at the T&C page separate from the checkout page, it works fine. In fact, when I right click on the text link for “Terms and Conditions” on the checkout page and then click open in new tab it pulls up the T&C page just fine.

    Hello,

You need to activate Storefront theme on site and check the T&C, there the same situation as with our theme https://gyazo.com/f2633f0c04b6c34765aef422ade50295
I am not sure why it works differently in Storefront Preview, as it relates to woocoomerce, you may contact woocoomerce support and ask why on the Preview and with activated Storefront theme the T&C works differently.
However, to change the current functionality of the T&C you need to use some additional plugin or to make additional customisation in files.

On your site, I see a message about outdated files http://prntscr.com/hblmvg, to fix it, you need rename legenda/woocommerce folder via FTP and upload the woocommerce folder from latest theme archive. Then check Dashboard > WooCommerce > Status > Templates http://prntscr.com/hblol4 if the problem will be solved, you can delete the renamed woocommerce folder.

Please note, that before uploading theme files, you need to delete “woocommerce” folder, which is located in wp-content/themes/legenda/ to avoid problems with old files (it’ll be reuploaded from a new theme package).

    Regards
