How to keep product category accordion closed – Top Category is always open

Hi,

I’m using the product category widget in the shop side bar. But the top category is always open. How do I make sure it’s closed when the page is opened?

I just want to make sure it’s not open when the page is opened.

Unfortunately not, such changes you need to make in parent theme.

Ok, I guess I’ll have to constantly do this on every upgrade.

Just curious. Why is this hard coded? Doesn’t seem like a very useful feature and it looks like a few people actually don’t want it.

Can I request the fix goes into the next release so it isn’t a constant fix on every upgrade?
