    Dear 8Theme Support,

    unfortunately there are a several issues related to the installation procedure and outdated documentation:

    First of all I want to let you know that before installation I have read the installation instructions carefully and follow all recommended steps.

    First warning(issue) occurred while your step by step installation:
    Step 4: Warning: Sorry, there has been an error. This does not appear to be a WXR file. missing/invalid WXR…

    After Installation the demo doesn´t look at all like your demo(frontend):
    1. the complete header was missing(I had to activate several positions in your theme setting at least the top header + search + cart appeared) 2. the main content below Menu was shifted 3. the complete Menu was missing 4. the feautured product slider was missing 5. the two top footer rows was missing 6. the fearued post and newsletter block missing 7. The demo products only have 1 image and not more than one so the image slider dirctly on the product image missing. 8. The product layout have several issues and furthermore a lot of demo products are missing 9. the category layout do not have the left side navigation,…

    For the backend there are the follwoing issues:
    1. There is no Visiual Composer instead WP Bakery Page Builder was installated(so far ok, but every thing you explain in your documentation related the visual composer is useless) so as I like to create the missing footer block(in your documentation explain to build with visual composer). 2. For the menus(which was missing) as I created Menu I noticed that there is no CSS Classes available like noted in your documentation. 3. As following your documentation to import demo theme settings from Tools > import > WordPress there is no ecommerce settings file available only the cooporate theme setting and if I import some settings the following warning appears: Failed to import shop_order_status, and so on….

    This was only a few issues I reported by the way to let you know we have memory_limit of 2GB and our Upload_max_filesize is set to 256M.

    Please urgently confirm how to proceed.

    Could you please provide link to your site?
    Please check if your system meets theme requirements:
    – file_get_contents() function should be enabled in the server configuration;
    – PHP version: 5.3 or higher;
    – max_execution_time: no less than 180;
    – memory_limit: no less than 96M;
    – upload_max_filesize: no less than 20M.

    Unfortunately, menu can’t be imported, you need to create an own menu. Please read our documentation https://www.8theme.com/demo/docs/legenda/#!/primary_menu and watch video https://www.8theme.com/videos/.
    Let us know if you need any further assistance.

    To enable VC editor for static blocks go to wp-admin panel > Visual Composer > Role Manager > Post Types > Custom > tick “static block”,
    You may provide wp-admin access in Private Content and I will create examples of footer static blocks.

    You need to create own products and upload images, because we provide only few products as examples.

    Hello Rose,

    thank you for your quick reply.

    Related to the system settings I can confirm the following:
    file_get_contents() activated
    PHP version 7.0.25
    max_execution_time 0
    memory_limit 2048M
    upload_max_filesize 256M

    First of all I mainly asked all this questions as Import seems to be incomplete if you tell me that it´s part of the Installation process to create and activate most of the settings, static blocks, widgets,.. maually I understand why there is so much missing.

    Related to the Menu it´s fine to creat a menu manually I just thought that the Mega Menu Content was somewhere would make it a lot easier(time exposure) to creat the Menu. Anyway I can creat it manually.

    Related to the featured product slider it´s fine I can also create it manually but I wondered because latest product slider was imported and featured was missing. Anyway I can create it manually.

    The advise related to WP Bakery Page Builder Role Manager was very helpful. Thanks.

    Related to the sample products it´s ok I know how to creat products I thought it´s maybe an issue with importing.

    Still a few questions left:

    Related to the product detail page:
    There is 2 time add to wishlist behind the price and behind the add to cart button, furthermore on your demo page is a nice looking icon and in our page it´s text?
    The lightbox and social icons are missing(I guess it should be activated somewhere in settings, right).

    Related to the Revolution Slider there are different fonts used, so they also need to be activated(import)?

    Related to the shifted content on Homepage I reconized on your demo that you have an additional class vc_row wpb_row vc_row-fluid “vc_custom_1461674364661” which indicates a css command magrin-top with -30px.
    This also need to be added manually?

    By the way for your information in backend on the theme settings page there is just between Legenda Logo and activation code “v 1.0 Theme” noted is that correct?

    You’re welcome!

    Please go to WooCommerce > Settings > WishList and select “Use shortcode” for Position option http://prntscr.com/hddtk9. Then check Use buttons instead of a simple anchors to display wishlist button in the form of heart http://prntscr.com/hddtnp.
    Please go to Theme Options > Single product page > Enable Lightbox for Product Images and Show share buttons.

    Related to the Revolution Slider there are different fonts used, so they also need to be activated(import)?

    – please provide some screenshots to better understanding the problem.

    Hello Rose,

    thank you for your reply.

    I attached screenshots to the private content.

    On the screenshots where you the frontend of your Demo and our installation you can the the shifted content and the different fonts used in revolution slider(It´s related to the font of “Best ecommerce wordpress theme”).

    by the way I found out that the mentioned margin-top can be set in the PageBuilder and it looks like you did the same in your Demo Theme.
    But I worry a little bit more about the slightly shift to the right if you compare the whole content(also header, footer and so on) on our installation is slightly shifted to the right side.

    Could you please provide link to your site?
    1.0 version means that you use a child theme, it is correct, you may check parent theme version in Appearance > Themes > Legenda Theme Details.

    Hello Rose,

    a few more screenshots in private content and the link to our installation.

    Please confirm the follwoing:

    1. Footer:
    Where can we add WooCommercee Random Products widget it´s not available in WPBakery as Element and not available in Widgets Section(We would like to have the same as in your demo).
    Furthermore the WooCommerce On-Sale widget is missing. I tried all WooCommerce Widgets but always the same result(screenshot: …/3srpetib_jpg.htm)

    2. Product Categories on homepage:
    We added an overview of the product categories on the Homepage and set it to 3 categories in one row.
    The issue is that the size of the Category picture is to small(we used the same image as in your demo) and the gap between the images is to big(screenshot: …/zxvszg9b_jpg.htm)

    3. The Revolution Slider which arrows do you use in your demo we would like to have the same arrows in revolution slider?
    Also related to the mentioned missing font style we checked if the “”Dancing Script”, cursive” is enabled and it is but the font looks totally different? Do we need to embed the font somewhere?

    4. The WPBakery have some functions disabled(by the look of it).
    For example in the row setting we are not able to select a border colour(sceenshot: …/k9ljhgvp_jpg.htm)
    Another example for the icon box there are several options blocked(icon color, background color, ….) (sceenshot: …/9tjmqbya_jpg.htm)

    4. Please make sure that you use latest version of Visual Composer plugin https://www.8theme.com/download-plugins/page/2/ (To update premium plugins, connect to your server using FTP. Copy extracted plugins folders into wp-content/plugins/).

    Hello Rose,

    thank you for all your answers.

    Related to the font-family question I found out that I just need to select the font again(in Revolution Slider) and it worked it seems that the GoogleFonts just need to be cached locally in RevolutionSlider.

    Can you please provide us with an API key for the Screets Live Chat?

    Related to the Visual Composer update we have the latest Version installed. Do you think this issue will be fixed in the close future?

    Hello,

    You’re welcome!

    1. I am glad that you sorted out.

    2. You do not need Screets API Key, the plugin should work without it.

    3. On my test site VC works without these problems. Try to disable all 3-rd party plugins (means the plugins that are not included in the theme package are not in the list of required plugins) and then check. Also, check console on your site while you edit page and check if you have any errors here.

    Hello Rose,

    hope you are fine.

    Related to the Chat Tool in backend there is a note that the API key is required to activate, furthermore the chat is not showing anywhere even it is activated?

    Unfortunately it do not help to disable all other plugins just tested and just for your information we had this before we installed any other extension(except from WooCommerce).
    If I inspect the hidden fields of VC in backend there is a display:none class inline if I remove this css class the fields appear.
    By the way the same with hidden field is in the chat Tool in the section Design also all hidden field are related to color options!
    If I make them visible by removing the mentioned css class I can also select color with a color picker.

    It looks like this is related to some color picker option?

    Hello,

    It is marked as required, but on my test site, the chat works fine even without it.
    Read more – https://www.8theme.com/faq/ (I have a message about plugins activation. Where can I get purchase code?).
    If the chat is not showing, you need to check all settings or provide me wp-admin access in Private Content, so I could check it.

    Do you use Massive Addons for Visual Composer plugin or Ultimate Addons for Visual Composer?

    Hello,

    you find the logins in private content.

    I asked for the API because of two reasons:
    1. The Chant plugin is not working if activated.
    2. If we read throu the comments on the Legenda Envato(themeforest) page there are a lot of people ask for the API and your support answer is always that they send the API key on request in the support section!?

    We do not install any Addons for Visual Composer.

    Hello,

    related to the Chat I created the Firebase credentails and it works(I didn´t configured it before becasue I thought it will only used for a mobile application and the WordPress Chat will be stored in the MySQL Database)

    ok I will provide you with access to the Plugin Section assuming that you don´t delete any installed plugin and
    don´t disable WooCommerce / Advanced Access Manager / Screets Live Chat / Slider Revolution and WPbakery Page Builder(as we are working with them right now)
    other installed plugins can be disabled temporary for your testing(but like I mentioned before I already disable the plugins and it do not help to solve the issue!!)

    By the way there is a notification that a new Version of WPBakery is available since today.

    You will find the new login in the private Section.

    Please update Visual Composer plugin to 5.4.5 version http://prntscr.com/hfrjta.

    I just updated the Visual Composer plugin to 5.4.5 it dosen´t help.

    As I told you before the same issue appears in the Design Section of the Live Chat plugin so it´s not only related to the Visual Composer!

    How can we proceed?

    Hello,

    Oh, I see. Thank you for the notice. The problem relates to Live Chat plugin and you may disable it as a temporary solution. The problem persists even with the default theme, it means that it can’t be fixed from our side. We contacted the plugin author and asked to fix these problems. I hope it will be fixed in next plugin update.

    Ok I´ll try and let you know the results. thanks for that.

    And thank you for the advise with the javascript-minifier but we anyway already have WPRockets plugin it should handle JS optimization.

    Another 2 questions:

    1. Is there some way to get all of your “Home Variants” in our pages so we are able to use them as subpage and not as homepage directly?

    2. Related to the Cart(top right): the cart-popup-container do not show the small ” background-image: url(images/after-arrow.png);” can it be activated somewhere?
    2.1 And the hover effects act a bit weird: the hover effect on the View cart and checkout button is not working and the hover effect on images do have a flicker effect(maybe we can turn off the hover state for the images completey or make it look like in your Demo)?

    1. Default home page you may set in Settings > Reading > Your homepage displays. Other pages you may simply add in menu if it is needed.

    Hello,

    two more questions:

    1. We need to disable the ajax add to cart function because we work with “TM Global Extra Product Options” and the validation for required fields is not working with “ajax add to cart”. Where can we disable it?

    2. I tried you tutorial related to the slider navigation arrows it worked so far and we added this Navigation to our current slider but unfortunately it still shows the default arrows. Something else we have to watch out for?

    Hello,

    everything worked fine so far apart from the color-picker fix for the chat tool.

    I´m not sure if I maybe do something wrong as it seems to work for other people.

    What I did is replaced the wp-content/plugins/screets-lc/core/library/titan-framework/js/min/wp-color-picker-alpha-min.js with a minified version of kallookoo/wp-color-picker-alpha-plugin/master/wp-color-picker-alpha.js Cleared browser cache and re-login.

    I also tried to replace the wp-content/plugins/screets-lc/core/library/titan-framework/js/wp-color-picker-alpha.js (the unminified Version) but still the same result.

    The plugin editor(in WordPress) recognized a few error in the file?
    Is there something else I can do?

    Unfortunately still the same result first I tried with updating the plugin by FTP as this didn´t help I deleted the plugin and installed your updated version again!?

    ok I tried to clear all cache also tried all browsers unfortunately didn´t work.
    You find the FTP access in private content.

    By the way another question related to the portfolio template:
    When we use the Protfolio template on any page it displays by default all portfolio categories/posts can we somehow only show specific categories similar to a kind of category slug like seen in other protfolio plugins?

    Hello,

    thank you for the Protfolio advises.

    I´m sorry the Chat plugin was disabled that´s why you was able to see the color options in PageBuilder I just activated the Chat Plugin and still have the same issue.
    Can you maybe login again to our backend and check if you see the color options now(as the plugin is now active) also you can maybe check the Design Tab in LiveChat plugin Options if you see the first rows: primary color, foreground color, link color, …
