Hi,
I just updated Legenda over at [1].
I updated VC too.
The whole site seems broken now [2].
The product grid on the front page vanished (there’s just white space). The header graphics snapped back (just the default Legenda one in place) and the event listing on the right side features wrong fonts.
The footer vanished.
The product listing looks broken [3].
The product detail view just throws an error code [4]
I need to update a few things on the weekend but the Legenda based errors seem a bit much.
How to fix them?
Best regards
Nevermind. The problems vanished once I did the new activation routine.
Best regards
Hello,
I am glad that you sorted out.
Have a nice day.
Regards
You too!
I ran into a minor problem. Since the theme update two translations snapped back.
This one: http://snap.ashampoo.com/NS2NJLWK (should be “Buch” (singular) / “Bücher” (plural)
And this one: http://snap.ashampoo.com/MUz8p82c (should be “Anzahl:”)
Where can I change this?
Best regards
Hello,
Please note that after theme update you need to synchronize translation. Before this make sure that you placed translation files of theme into wp-content/languages/themes folder with correct name https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/theme-translation/base-theme-translation/ (the same for legenda theme).
Button Sync (Loco Translate plugin) allows you to synchronize your translation file with updated pot file. It means if we made any changes in template files that may affect transaltion or we added new string for the translation and you updated theme you need to synchronize your translation with updated files. Only after synchronization you’ll be able to translate new strings or strings that were changed. You may lose only strings that were changed.
Also, don’t forget to backup all the files before any update.
Let us know if you need any further assistance.
Regards
Hi,
i synced the files and was able to translate one of the string mentioned above (Anzahl).
This one is still a problem.

Would you kindly take a look?

Hello,
Please check now http://prntscr.com/hyve74
To be able to see changes, you need to add or to remove some product from cart to re-upload cart element.

Hi,
thanks a lot for your efforts! That helped. May I ask where you made the changes?
I thought to have found the right spot that the changes there got ignored.
Best regards
You’re welcome!
Loco Translate > Themes > Legenda > German.
Also, your theme translation files placed in themes/legenda/languages/de_DE.po folder http://prntscr.com/hz0ycr but to prevent loosing translation after theme updated it would be better to place your de_DE.po, de_DE.mo files in /wp-content/languages/themes/ folder as legenda-de_DE.po and legenda-de_DE.po files.

Hi,
thanks again for you efforts. I had to change the portal language to de_DE_formal and after that the theme-relevant translations were lost.
I renamed the theme language files to de_DE_formal too and now the theme translations are in place again but only for a second. Please take a look [1].
Do you know the reason for this?
Best regards
Hi,
please ignore the last message. The problem went away after a few minutes. Maybe there was a caching problem involved.
I got another problem, though. It is related to the e-mail content that is sent after a customer orders a product.
I have no problem locating the text paragraph marked by the green arrow [1] using Loco Translate -> Plugins -> WooCommerce.
I can’t find the second paragraph, marked by the red error, though. Do you know where to look for this / why I can’t find it using Loco Translate?
Thanks again! Your help is really appreciated.
Best regards
Hello,
Did you try to synchronize woocommerce translation?
Looks like It would be better to contact woocommerce support about this question.
