Hi,

After installing the theme, went for installing the required plugins. Everything works just fine except this Massive Addons for WPBakery Page Builder. Whenever I’m trying to activate this plugin, 8Theme Options panel just vanishes and the link just redirects to a blank page.

Do you have the Xstore core plugin installed and the redux frameworks plugin? Do you have visual composer installed? Sometimes when things are wonky, try saving your permalink twice. For some weird reason that fixes crap.

Also, please provide temporary wp-admin and FTP access in Private Content.

Hi,

I have contacted my hosting provider to set everything according to your documentation.

Here’s what they did –

max_execution_time = 300
max_input_time = 300
max_input_vars = 1000
memory_limit = 256M
file_uploads = On
upload_max_filesize = 64M
Max. Post Size is also more than 32M

Now, I have reinstalled WordPress and installed your theme again. Still no luck!

After installing every plugin, it gave this warning –
Warning: sprintf(): Too few arguments in /home/theelyse/public_html/wp-admin/includes/class-bulk-upgrader-skin.php on line 150

And now, whenever I am trying to access 8Themes Option it goes to an error page and giving this error message –
Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 100663296 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 326231 bytes) in /home/theelyse/public_html/wp-content/plugins/redux-framework/ReduxCore/inc/fields/typography/googlefonts.php on line 1

I installed the theme on a WPMU. Tried installing the theme on normal wordpress site as well. No luck with that as well!!!

Giving my credentials in private section. Hope you guys will look after it 🙂

P.S – For your help, I completely reinstalled WordPress (Multi site) and upload the theme in WordPress theme directory. Hope it would help you to set up the theme easily with every plugin installed and working properly 😀 And it would be really great if you can tell me the reason of getting those errors and giving me all those troubles 🙁

Hello,

Your problem is WP memory limit. Contact your hosting provider and try to increase the limit to 128 or 256MB. At this moment you have 96MB http://prntscr.com/hyixwg

Hi Olga,

Thanks for the support. It’s fixed now! So, I’ve tried to set a coming soon template for my site and changed the coming soon page as front page. But unfortunately, the backend as well as the front end is taking insanely long time to load. And how do you edit these pages from the page section? Cause I can’t edit any page from my backend!!!

So, I guess I have found out the problem. It’s with the WPBakery Page Builder. It’s giving me a warning even when I’m just installing the plugin.

Warning: Error while sending QUERY packet. PID=521713 in /home/theelyse/public_html/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 1931.

Can you guys please make sure that everything’s working fine on my site?

I have given the login details in the private section.
Please check it out and make sure everything is working fine. Specially, WPBakery Page Builder.

Hello,

Why have you removed the theme and all the plugins? What should we check if you removed all?
We can’t install the theme via Dashboard because your upload_max_filesize does not meet theme requirements https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/theme-installation/xstore-theme-requirements/ Please, increase it to 30MB at least.

Sorry for deleting all the stuff. I have installed and activated the theme from Network Admin. Please have a look at the dashboard now.

P.S – You stated that the upload_max_filesize is still below 30M, but my php.ini file inside my wordpress installation is showing that it’s 64M. Can you please make sure to check through the ftp?

Hello,

1) Seems you changed PHP post max size but not the Max upload size http://prntscr.com/hz18om
2) Have you fixed the max_allowed_packet according to this post https://stackoverflow.com/questions/30753674/error-while-sending-query-packet to fix the “Warning: Error while sending QUERY packet” ? Because I still the problem with editing page when Massive Addons plugin is enabled. Do you have any other errors in server error logs?

You need to increase max_allowed_packet limit. Contact your hosting provider to do this if you don’t have the necessary skills. Also, provide me server error logs after that.

I will contact my hosting provider to do that for me. And the Max upload size has been set to 64M in the php.ini file inside the WordPress installation. You can check it from this link –

Still can’t edit any page with WPBakery page builder. It takes me to the 404 error page.

And I can’t activate Jetpack for the network it gives memory exhaustion error 🙁 If I activate it on main site, I can’t access my network admin!

I hope everything will be up and running before this weekend 🙂

A small update. My hosting provider can’t increase the max_allowed_packet limit as it’s already set to max_allowed_packet=1763741454.

So will the problem remain?

Hey Olga,

Morning!!!

So I guess I have found out the main problem which was causing all the errors. It’s the massive addons for WPBakery Page Builder. When I activate this pluging, I can’t edit the pages or anything, rather it takes me to a 404 error page whenever I try to edit the page with WPBakery Page Builder.

And the Jetpack problem remains. It gives a fatal error telling –

Allowed memory size of 100663296 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 786432 bytes) in /home/theelyse/public_html/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/locales.php on line 2149

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 100663296 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 524598 bytes) in /home/theelyse/public_html/wp-includes/Requests/Transport/cURL.php on line 484

For your information, I can’t increase max_allowed_packet limit anymore cause the limit provided by my hosting provider is the highest that they could offer for my hosting service.

I hope this information will be helpful enough for you to solve the problems that I have been facing lately.

Hello,

Problem with Massive Addons also can be related to PHP memory limit. As you can understand from the error message you have 100663296 bytes (96MB) of the PHP memory and it’s not enough to use such number of additional plugins. So, you need either increase the PHP memory limit or disable unrequired plugins.

My PHP memory limit is 256M, how come it can’t load anything that’s 96M???

Can you please check. Cause it’s really giving me a headache!!!

See, I have done everything that’s required for your theme to work properly in my setup, contacted my hosting provider for dozens of times, can you please make sure to find out the problem and solve it for me?

I don’t understand this simple fact, when every requirement of your theme is fulfilled from my side, yet why your theme won’t run smoothly? And why should I just throw away some plugin that I need for my site?

Hello,

If you activate even the third-party plugin and still have the PHP Memory limit error “Allowed memory size of 100663296 bytes exhausted” then you don’t have real 256MB of memory. I don’t know why the limits are not applied because I’m not the server admin.

About Massive Addons plugin, we have posted the question in author comments area about 404 error https://codecanyon.net/item/massive-addons-for-visual-composer/14429839/comments?page=79&filter=all#comment_18501820 Plugin comes bundled with our theme but we are not plugin developers. We need to wait for the answer from the plugin author to help you.

My site is working perfectly fine except that Massive Addon bug. It’s still taking me to the 404 page!
Any update to this problem?
Every other problem is solved, except this one! Can you please find a solution to it?

And how do you change the design of the Countdown timer? I couldn’t find any design option from inside the WPBakery Page Builder 🙁

Morning Olga! So I’ve solved the Massive addon problem by disabling the ModSecurity for my Domain. Unfortunately now,
1. I can’t add new plugins from my network admin.
2. I can’t add new site from my network admin.
3. Can’t log in to main site dashboard if I remove the php.ini file from WP-Admin folder.

It gives the same memory exhaust error –

Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 100663296 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 189585 bytes) in /home/theelyse/public_html/wp-includes/class-requests.php on line 644

To let you know, I have set up everything as per the theme requirement, memories and stuff are perfect everywhere 🙂 Can you please find out a solution for this? Surely it’s because of the massive addon plugin!

Hello,

Is ModSecurity enabled now?
Massive Addons plugin support told us that sometimes such problems are related to FastCGI / mod_security server configuration.

“Both modules have a property to limit the maximum length of input/output strings.
For FastCGI, you would need to adjust this value: FcgidMaxRequestLen 10485760
For mod_security, SecResponseBodyLimit 10485760

I suppose that you would need to ask hosting provider to adjust those settings in configuration.”

Also, keep PHP Memory limit 256Mb.

Hey Olga,

I asked my hosting provider to adjust the settings, but they have limitations over shared hosting, so they can only change some limited portions using php.ini file, not much!

ModSecurity is enabled now. Can’t use Massive addon plugin. Whenever I try to edit any page, it gets blank. So I guess I have to move forward without using it 🙁 Cause it’s been a week since I have been trying to set up everything on this theme. Need to start building my website now.

It would have been really helpful if you could find out some solution. But I guess either I have to change the hosting service provider, otherwise I’ll have to change the theme.

Hi Shuvo, have you tried setting this up locally? Try using MAMP, set your site up locally. If it runs fine locally than we could rule out it being theme issue or plugin conflict, otherwise if your hosting provider has certain limitations, it might make sense to migrate elsewhere. Chances are you might run into issues with other themes that may have plugins that run heavy, and you’re not leaving your site open for growth in increase of traffic, content, etc.

So, I’ve changed my hosting service and transferred to Bluehost. Now I can’t activate my theme. It’s telling me that “You have reached activation number limit.”!!! Can you please tell me what’s wrong?
