Hi, Im working on menu for my website Brand page and looking for solution how to assign certain category’s to Brand list. This brand menu would be separate from product category menu. Im using 8theme brand list widget and 8theme menu widget but cant figure out how to assign just brands category to every brand and also filter them via 8theme menu widget.

I know exactly what you mean and I’ve researched the crap out of this. You’ll need to use a products filter plugin to get this to work. I’m in the midst of working through a couple but so far I’ve decided to use one off codecanyon. There’s about 3 most popular products filters right now, one by realmag777, dzeriho and yith but from what i understand, the WOOF and dzeriho one are the only ones I know of people have used on this forum. These plugins will give you what you need, it’s just a matter of integrating them properly which I’m still working through.

    Hello, @axels83

Unfortunately, our theme does not have the element that will display the list of brands from the specific category only. You can try some filter plugin as @thisisbolo suggested or submit request for additional customization and development of the special element for you.

    Regards

Thanks thisisbolo for advise i have spent quite bit of time trying to get this function running. Will try this WOOF but are you talking about free WOOF plugin or premium one?

Hi axels83 – I think the free WOOF plugin is super barebones and it won’t give you the ability to show only the categories with product in when you’re on an active brand in the brands taxonomy.

    Hello, @axels83,

Product Filter plugin has adaptive filtering option, but we are not sure about WOOF. It would be better to ask plugin author if plugin allows you to implement what you need.

WOOF has the feature to hide terms that have no related products. I’ve tested and it has the functionality out of the box. @alex83, there’s a setting you’ll need to switch on that’ll let you hide empty terms. If you can’t find it, I’ll carve out some time to look again and give exact instructions. Let me know.
