Header Cart translate issue - by kejdzinka

    Hello,

    For my page http://www.anglickapohoda.cz, i cant find how to translate the CART items in the header.
    I tried translating the PO files for Legenda theme, woocommerce theme but all is translated,
    and still it displays “item/s” instead of option in my language.

    Can you please help how to solve the issue?

    Hello,

    I would recommend you to use Loco Translate plugin https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/theme-translation/base-theme-translation/ (the same for legenda theme). Do not forget to synchronize translation files.

    Hello Rose,

    Yes, I tried the plugin, and Woocomerce is 100% translated to CZ,
    but still, the header shows 2 ITEMS instead of 2 položky as the translation says.

    Then I tried looking straight into the PO files and found the translations,
    but no effect on the Web.

    Hello,

    can you please share how did you achieve that?

    I am having the same issue with “category” in the single product page.

    no matter what i do it just won’t translate.

    I would like to know how to fix the issue by myself.

    Rose is out of the office during this week, so we can’t give the answer about the solution for that user. But if you provide me temporary Dashboard access we’ll check what caused the issue in your case and share the solution.

    Can i just ask where do you update the file?

    since when i translate the PO from …languages/themes/legenda
    nothing really updates on the web.

    Hello,

    You are welcome.
    We opened po file using poEdit and chose “update translation from pot file”. Updated file, saved both po., .mo and uploaded them to wp-content/languages/themes/ folder with overwriting.

    Hello again,

    I dont know what happened but i am having a same issue again,
    the “item” instead of “položka” in the cart appeared, do you know why?
    can you help to fix it?

    Hello,

    Go to Loco Translate > Themes > Legenda > edit your language, find the “item for/items for” and just translate it http://prntscr.com/l4ula2 I have translated these strings and don’t see the problem.

    P.S. Also, contact WooColor – WooCommerce Products Color Filter plugin author because their plugin causes js error and Loco Translate does not work if that plugin is enabled http://prntscr.com/l4uos6
