Can’t save locations or add categories to Primary menu

Hi

I have big problems with the primary menu. When trying to add productcategories (main level and sub level) I lose the theme location every time I save the changes, both main menu and mobile menu locations are lost (unticked) and I get the “Set your main menu in Apperance > Menus” text on my site.

I can select the locations and save again and the locations are back but the categories I have addes is gone again…

I am using WP 3.9, woocommerce 2.1.7 and Legenda theme v 2.1 with a child theme.

The problems appears only at my development site where I try everything before going live. My main site don’t have these problems http://rekobutiken.se/.

I want to have the same meny structure as on my main site (http://rekobutiken.se/).

Have I done anything wrong or is this a known issue?

Hi again

I know how to create the menu as I have done it already on my main site. The problem i that it doesn’t work after updating WP, the theme and WooCommerce as I have done on my development site.

Hello,

I’ve tried to add categories to the menu on default theme and the issue is present there too. It can be caused for the reason you’ve increased the menu items limit. That’s why new items can’t be saved. Here are some explanations:

The increasingly common issue is the max_input_vars PHP directive. By default, it is set to 1000. To increase this, simply set it in php.ini. I’d suggest 3000 to be safe, but 2000 should be sufficient for most sites.
