Hiding brands from Brand Slider - by ianstudio

Hello,
any possibility of hiding brands from the Brand slider provided by you in VC ? At times my client has no products for a brand or several, and I would rather avoid deleting brands completely, I just wish I could hide them until I need them again..

PS: I have a cool obscure* plugin that allows me to deactivate Categories (*WooExcCats PRO).. but unfortunately it does not work on your Brands category.. Only on regular post categories and Product categories.

I have no idea what your sentence means.. ;0) I re-read it about 20 times, I still don’t get it LOL

Let me try again.. real simple:

All Brands are displayed in the slider by default, even those that have no matching products: at times the shop owner does not have any products for a certain Brand (yes that happens in the real world).. can I hide that Brand (NOT ALL Brands.. a certain brand or several in my case today, temporarily) until the shop owner adds products to it/them.

It looks bad when someone clicks on a Brand and is told no products match their request.

Please slide to logo DL (9th logo, black quare).. well that brand at present has no products.. so I would like to hide it.

Sorry, but we don’t have such feature in our theme.
You can try to use some third-party plugin to implement functionality such.

Like I said my third party plugin works on regular Post Categories and WooCommerce Product Categories, but the way your Brands category is declared makes it not play well with the regular Categorizing systems I just enounced.

So you know as well as I do that I will not find a third-party plugin that can achieve this ;0) Don’t mess with my brain by telling “sweet lies” LOL

Your theme is decent but needs a lot more in-depth thinking of real-life situations to make it truly outstanding..

The functionality I’m after here should really come out of the box to help shop managers handle things as painlessly as possible. If this were just a regular WordPress Theme with added basic WooCommerce support, I’d say ok.. but it sold as a WooCommerce Shop Theme..
