Switched from The Leader to XStore…

Hi 8theme members!

I have been using The Leader for a while now and bought XStore some time back and finally decided to switch.
In the middle of the process of installing the theme something went wrong. Got the blank page error.
I did the trick to go via FTP to change the folder name to trigger so I could access admin pages.
Now I can only use the standard WordPress pages. Tried to return to the The Leader theme but got the blank page error again. So I am stuck with the standard themes…
I have now deleted the XStore folder.

You should have a FTP login already from before. It is the The Leader 2.3 child theme that I want to get back to. (I actually what to update to The Leader 2.5 which is also installed but I remembered that it was so many parts to fix with different coding when changing. Maybe you can take a look at it…:)

I have enabled 2.5 version and did not face any blank screen. If you need help with XStore installation just let me know your XStore purchase code in the Private content area.

I do not know what made it blank going from Xstore back to The Leader.

I will check if there is some problems going to 2.5.
I know there is some manual steps to do.

I have one problem that I found.
Please go to the store (Webbutiken) and choose the first product “CAMILLA OF SWEDEN – TRUTVALLA LÄPPGLANS”. That one contains variables and did switch images before when choosing different lip gloss numbers in the popup. Now it does not change image.

Hello,

You are using version 2.3 with the new version of WooComemrce and it causes your issue I suppose.
When version 2.5 is enabled everything works fine https://gyazo.com/dacb84ac60dd702e81ab2ec5d253d43e

Hi,

I have tried to switch to The Leader 2.5 but there is a problem with the page background that goes transparent. https://imgur.com/a/LthpR3l

It looks okay in the Live preview but then switched it goes transparent. There is also a few other things that I remembered that has to be manually adjusted with a fresh update…

So:

1. Can you first help me to get 2.5 looks like 2.3 including fixing the background of the page (content) to become white.

2. Also I have installed XSTORE again but already in the Live preview it goes blank. It might just be nothing but last time the WP server malfunctioned. Can you please have a look.
If I want to choose a specific homepage look (would like to use “Cosmetics”, can I do that without getting the demo content?

I have pasted in our purchase code of XSTORE in Private Content.

Hello,

1) I just copied styles from the 2.3 child theme style.css to 2.5 child theme style.css and don’t see the difference. I suppose you just forgot about these changes that you made in child theme 2.3.

2) I have installed the latest version of XStore theme. White screen issue was caused by the PHP memory limit. I have increased it in wp-config file and everything works fine. You can enable XStore child theme and check.

Okay, thanks! I might have ended up in a dirty cache scenario.
Looking good! I did set the debugging back to false as I saw the you did turn that on to find any problems.

But can you please check the product again (mentioned above) https://www.8theme.com/topic/switched-from-the-leader-to-xstore/#post-198024
When choosing a product there preview window looks strange. It suddenly shows a big (full size) but half picture of the choose product just below. Can that be hidden? Looks like an error.

Hello,

Are you talking about variation image? Problem was caused by your CSS in WP custom CSS (Appearance > Customizer > Custom CSS)
```
.product-thumbnails-slider .slides li {
   width: auto !important;
}
```
Don’t know why you added this but once I removed then image is ok.

Truly saying I’m not sure what problem you tried to fix in that topic and don’t understand that code. So, if you have that issue let me know and provide the screenshot for better understanding what space you want to remove.
