Hi there,
We have just installed the theme on the test environment. We are switching from BLANCO theme (which is not supported anymore). The big problem we experience: the existing product images are in different sizes “Not Cropped” and it worked totally fine in BLANCO theme, yet in XStore theme, they do not align on the Shop / Catalogues pages – they are displayed all over the place…. Cropping and regenerating thumbnail will not help, as some of the images are WIDE and other NARROW, so if wide images will display fine, then others will be cropped and partially seen…. What would be the solution? Is it possible to apply the same logic it is done in BLANCO theme, where different size images uploaded without crop “Actual size”) and Displayed properly on Shop pages (the actual image size just “Fit” to the slot allocated for the thumbnails – this would apply to ALL thumbnails, not just shop page, but also mini cart, etc)
Please help. This is a big issue that does not let us move to the new theme, unless it is resolved.
Thank you!
Hello,
To enable the cropping of the product images go to Appearance > Customize > WooCommerce > Product images. Choose the proportion or 1:1 crop size and save settings. After that go to Tools > Regenerate thumbnails and regenerate all the thumbnails that you have. If it does not help then provide me temporary Dasj=hboard access to your test site, we’ll check.

Dear Olga,
Thank you for the suggestion, yet it did not work. All thumbnail (including catalogue) images are hard cropped to 1:1 instead of fitting the allocated slot for the image, and this is not acceptable. The only solution is to force images to FIT not to hard crop.
Please help!!!
I’m providing you with the admin access credentials in private content.
Thank you!
Olga
Hello,
It’s because Blanco used its own image size settings but XStore use the default WooCommerce options and there is no height limit in new WooCommerce any more.
We have added custom CSS to limit the image’s height. Check now.

Thank you, Olga! It looks better now. I will let you know if any additional tweaking is required.
Much appreciated.
