Hello
How can I add links and texts to the footer?

Hello,

Content of the Footer can be changed via Appearance > Widgets. I would recommend using static blocks there.

Hello,

If you did not make any changes directly in parent theme files then you won’t lose anything.
Make sure that your translation files are located in wp-content/languages/themes folder and not in wp-content/themes/xstore/languages.

Hello,

If you chose the location mentioned in documentation https://d33v4339jhl8k0.cloudfront.net/docs/assets/5809d09590336070ba24798e/images/580f1f129033604deb0ea2e8/file-bNpCVUgrOw.jpg then everything will be ok.
Anyway, always do the site backup before any update, just in case.
