Hello all,
How can I have my shop auto-show/select the standard shipping option at the basket stage?
I don’t want a customer to have to go through to checkout and enter their address to find the shipping cost. I am only shipping to mainland UK so their is just one standard delivery.
Currently it shows as – https://gallery.mailchimp.com/ade690fc170d975f78dac3981/images/15718e70-f6fc-4708-845f-e8e04ab5a0b0.png
I would like it to show as (without having to first go to checkout) – https://gallery.mailchimp.com/ade690fc170d975f78dac3981/images/fd976956-2c31-441f-ab9e-d923a40cb489.png
Can I also force free shipping on orders over £50?
Thanks in advance,
Zak
Hello,
Please read this article – https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/configuring-woocommerce-settings/#section-12 , you can enable the shipping calculator on the cart page via WooCommerce > Settings > Shipping > Shipping options.
Here you can find information about Free Shipping – https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/free-shipping/

Hi Rose,
Thank you for your reply. I have read those docs and they don’t really answer my questions:
How can I have my shop auto-show/select the standard shipping option at the basket stage?
Can I also force free shipping on orders over £50?
Many thanks,
Zak
Hello,
1) Have you set “Enable the shipping calculator on the cart page” http://prntscr.com/p09ji2 > http://prntscr.com/p09jcb in WooCommerce > Settings > Shipping > Shipping options?
Isn’t this what you are looking for?
2) http://prntscr.com/p09kzq https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/free-shipping/
Your questions relate to WooCommerce plugin functionality, so it would be better to ask them on forum of the WooCommerce (we are theme support).
Regards
Ok no worries Rose, I will try WooCommerce for help.
Thanks so much!
Thanks for understanding.
Let us know if you have any other questions.
