Cannot import theme settings - by StephaneAAm

Nothing happens, when I click the import button.

Why is that?

Hello,

Don’t provide us with the content of the file. It would better to share the link to file to allow us to download it. Besides .dat files does not support editing because it breaks file structure.
Explain to me in more detail from which site you want to export options and to which import them. Also, it would be good if you can provide us with WP Dashboard access to both of them to check the issue and help you.

I am setting up a staging-site, and to make the theme settings exactly the same, I want to export and import them. The theme versions are the same in both places.

Hello,

Problem was caused by the title of the custom widget area with : https://prnt.sc/s41s1p that generated the js error http://prntscr.com/s41tk0 I have removed the custom widget area and was able to import options. Don’t use special symbols in the custom widget area title.
