It appears that the examples in this forum of adjusting the logo size are at least 2 years old or greater. What is the current best practice for adjusting the logo size in the header for the XStore theme?

    1. Can you tell me where the specific theme code is responsible for the header logo?

    2. Can you tell me the best method to modify the logo (and possibly the container) so that I can make my logo appear larger?

Running WordPress 5.4.2 and WooCommerce 4.1.1

    Hello,

Please watch videos about our Header builder – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RbdKjQrFnO4&list=PLMqMSqDgPNmDu3kYqh-SAsfUqutW3ohlG

    Hi Rose –

Thank you for responding; however, I am quite disappointed in the answer. I had previously watched this poorly done, hyper-speed video with no audio explanation a few days ago.

In relation to the logo sizing, it only shows a control that you can slide to increase the width of a logo – which will not increase the logo size beyond something like 240px (or somewhere around that). If you want to make it bigger, it will not increase the size. I tried increasing the height of the Main Header using Header Builder, hoping that by increasing the container for the logo would allow the logo size to increase beyond the 240px size – that appears to have no effect on allowing the logo to increase in size.

I am guessing that Header Builder is only a front end for the backend code. That is why I asked the 2 questions in my first email – can you not tell me where the logo sizing code is located in your theme file?

Since my question #2 does not seem to work, can you tell me where the css code is that controls the logo sizing?

I have already wasted several days on something as simple as resizing a logo – so please provide a specific answer that solves my problem and that you are able to verify that works.

    Thanks –

    Hello,

We can’t open your site, unfortunately. Is there any restriction by ip? There is no known issue with the logo size, so settings from the header builder should work fine, like this Theme Options > Header builder – https://gyazo.com/8222f13f6d1e891635cdad81046b5398 http://prntscr.com/tel610 , so you can set Logo Width (Px) and increase the width of the logo element in the Header content scheme. Codding is not required in this case.
If this doesn’t help, we need to take a closer look at your site, provide temporary wp-admin access also.

    Hello,

You can change the video speed to slower using YouTube settings to watch in detail every action we did on that video http://prntscr.com/tel5i1 So, you can control the speed.

Using size option in the Logo settings you can control the size of the logo inside the columns it was placed. If you want to increase the size you need also to check the number of columns that your logo takes https://gyazo.com/9bd526de7b86caf4e437ed644eb9f359 For example, if you placed the logo in 2 columns it won’t be larger than 2 columns width (16.6% of the header width). To make it larger stretch logo element to 3-4-5 etc columns. So, logo size is not the only “frontend for the backend code”. Logo width just depends on 2 factors: size in the Logo element settings + columns number that logo is placed in.

Let me know if you need any other detailed explanation.

Thanks Olga – increasing the columns for the logo using Header Builder allowed me to increase the size of the logo. I knew there was some sort of “container” or parent element that was restricting the size. This was exactly what I needed.
