Hi I was wondering if it would be possible to change the format of the large date with the sidebar blog posts to a featured image thumbnail? The blog post date looks great but is not very useful for my purposes, at the moment I installed an external plugin to resolve the issue but would be much better if I can use the existing feature that is also available through the visual composer.
thanks

Hello,
Could you please clarify with more details and show us screenshots?
Regards,
Robert Hall.
Hi Robert,
the recent post widget I’m asking about is in the left column bottom on this page of your demo site: https://www.8theme.com/demo/royal/?page_id=7&sb=1&blog=small
I was wondering if it would be possible to change the thumbnail post date box to become the featured image instead?
For my site I’m using an Event plugin that shows the dates of the events and it becomes confusing to also have the Recent Post widget show the dates would prefer they showed the image instead.
I’m not sure how to attache a screenshot to show you how I would like it to look, below is the info I sent to Eva to log in so you can see what I setup on the Home Page
thanks

Hello,
In this case you can try using Posts Grid element in Visual Composer editor and add it to your static block.
Thank you.

Eva Kemp.
Hi Eva,
yes I tried it but with the grid system the thumbnail image is at the top which takes up too much space. I need it to the left with the heading and excerpt to the right, is there a way to recreate this style using the posts grid element?
Hello,
Sorry, but unfortunately there is no such possibility.
Please take our apologies for inconveniences.

Eva Kemp.
