Hi – I’m using Yoast SEO plugin with Legenda but the xml sitemap produces a 404 error. I have looked online to see if there is a fix to this but when I tried pasting in the code suggested on the wpbeginners forum I then got a 500 internal server error and had to re-upload the htaccess file. Is there a solution to this?
Thanks
Oliver
Hello,
Concerning 500 error you should contact your host as they may enable some restrictions.
Please provide us with a link where you’re getting 404 error and give us access to wp-admin panel.
Thank you.

Hello,
Sorry, but we still can’t connect to FTP.
What are the FTP host and port number?
Are you able to connect to your FTP account from your side?
Thank you.

Hi Eva – contacted the webhost and the information is below
Oliver
Hello,
There is no such file sitemap_index.xml in your FTP account, that’s why you’re getting 404 error.
You should upload it if you have it on your local PC.
Thank you.

Eva Kemp.
