Hi, is there a way to put a filter widget into the sidebar of the shop, and have it only appear once the end user goes into that category? Here is an example below:
Front shop page sidebar filter widgets:
– Categories
– Color
– Size
– Price
Once the user clicks on Categories, and then lets say, Apple Products, the sidebar then displays the following filter widgets:
– Categories
– Phone model
– Watch Model
– Color
– Size
– Price
But if the customer is on any other part of the shop, other then “Apple Products” those widgets do not show. Is this possible at all?
Hello,
Shop sidebar/product category sidebar displays filter widgets if products that are on the shop/product category have these attributes. So, there is no way to hide some filters on the shop page by default because your products have the Phone model attribute for example. But if you visit for example other category and products on that category do not have Phone model attribute then you won’t see that filter.
For example you can check it on the wedding demo
– color filter http://prntscr.com/w0oocu https://xstore.8theme.com/demos/wedding/product-category/bouquets/
-size filter http://prntscr.com/w0oosk https://xstore.8theme.com/demos/wedding/product-category/shoes/

Ok thanks, I wasn’t sure if it was a feature or not because I use the theme WoodMart on another site I built and when placing the WoodMart product categories widget into the sidebar, there is options for that widget to only show in on certain product category’s with included/excluded rules and its a really nice feature so the filter area isn’t clogged up with filters on every page.
Thanks for the quick response, I will add this feature to the XStore feature requests page so maybe it can be added in the future.
Thanks for the great feature request and for understanding. Have a nice day.
Regards
