Hi,
I saw that it is possible to activate the function to have the image gallery for variations, separate from that of the main product.
Apart from the various problems that I then encounter on the frontend, we will talk about them later, if we decide to use this function but, when importing, how can I assign the gallery to the variations? is it a function of the theme or do I need to purchase an external module?
Thank you
Hello,
Variation gallery is a built-in option, you don’t need any additional plugin for this.
You will just need to enable the Variation gallery option in Theme Options > WooCommerce > Shop Elements. After that edit product and add the gallery images for your variations.
That’s all.

Hi,
thank you very much. Fatto e funziona, ora importiamo correttamente i prodotti e le immagini,
just a clarification, why now, however, if I click on an image in the product sheet, two “galleries” open up?
if you click on the main photo, two galleries open, one above the other. To exit the zoom you have to close the “screen” twice.
Hello,
Keep this option of the Elementor plugin disabled to fix this problem https://prnt.sc/yygwr6 We use lightbox and this option causes duplication.

Thank you very much Olga, done, now it’s ok.
A courtesy, we manage over 20,000 items and import everything with WP ALL IMPORT but I have a problem with importing additional images for variations.
For simple product images we import everything with the image URL and it works. In case of additional images we separate with; URLs etc …
For your field et_variation_gallery_images how do I do? Because if I pass the URL I have seen that it doesn’t work. What does this field expect as a content? I hope not the media ID because I can’t know it a priori during the import phase 🙂
thank you
Hello,
Unfortunately, we use IDs of images for variation product id: et_variation_gallery_images = array(23, 72, 37)

Ok, thanks but a question,
How do I know first which is the ID of a photo that I still have to import? 🙂
That is, I have a new and empty site, I import my products and I have a product with 5 photos, there are no photos or images in the database.
How do I tell WOO the ID of the photo if it doesn’t even exist yet :)?
thank you
Hello,
I’m afraid that we don’t have the option to import gallery for every single variation. So, import images to default WooCommerce product gallery and then edit product and choose images for the variation gallery.

Hello,
i’ll try to find another solution, thank you. Because we have more than 20.000 items 🙂 i can’t do it manually.
Thanks anyway for the explanations and help.
Hi
