Hi,

We found out that the Xstore theme somehow slows down the Official woocommerce filter: https://gyazo.com/b28a9487afa248df314f2435bde824e2
When activating storefront the filter takes 2 sec: https://gyazo.com/46297c048d6f3bfd31aa1b6c5afaf5f9
when activating Xstore the filter slows down immediately with 4 more seconds: https://gyazo.com/8ff0c8695aa2242b2fd26360820fb70a

Everything is the same here only Xstore activated. Can you please check why and how to solve it?

Once you did it, set the administrator role for the user, so we can access your Dashboard and check what else can be done to speed up the site.

Hello,

The optimization is something what is done, somehow the theme blocks a script therefore the loading time of the filter takes longer then with the storefront theme. In the previous message i also gave all the login information. Please check it.

Hello,

Take my apologies for the delay in answering. I checked the staging site and compared request time with the default theme https://gyazo.com/294bb5facc9c771514a3fde31169c1a6 (1.6s) and with our theme https://gyazo.com/2e74fc934a6f8949a97705ae8b3a56a4 (1.7s, sometimes up to 2.3s)
Our theme request time is longer a little bit but it’s not 4s. Our theme comes with a number of additional options like variation swatches, quick view, grid/list switcher etc but default theme does not and the default theme does not reinit it after filtering, so it takes less time to get results.

At this moment our developers are working on the Customizer speed improvements for the new update and once we finish it we’ll start additional improvements to the frontend speed.

the rest of the filter works fine, only on this specific element there is a bug. (10sec) to load the filter. i went to the support of woocommerce, took them 2 weeks to reply that its not their fault but i had to ask it to 8theme. so please check it asap on this specific case. thanks

Hello,

Try to contact your hosting provider and ask to reduce the server response time. If you use our theme you get more information about product than with the default theme, so server response time is an important moment in this case. We don’t have more options at this moment to speed up these requests from theme side unfortunately.

It has nothing got to do with theme speed or server speed, there is a bug, if you check the video u see there is something blocking the script.

Here are reasons why our theme slows down the filters: https://www.8theme.com/topic/theme-slowsdown-woocommerce-filter
– XStore has a lot of functions for product displaying, and before showing the product all of them (options) must be processed so that the product looks according to the settings. The default theme doesn’t have such options, so works faster, even this modification slows down an output https://prnt.sc/10yubs8
– Output of our product takes up more space for example the default product takes 1018 Bytes our is 2.15kb and 8.58kb – 187kb if the product has variation swatches (depends on the number of variations).
Unfortunately, we can’t fix it now, otherwise, we will need to change the displaying of the product and delete options, we can’t go for it
there are several options that can speed up this plugin:
1) reduce the number of products from 30 to 15 https://prnt.sc/10yw31q
2) remove variation swatches from the products grid page (Shop) – https://prnt.sc/10yw41x
it will increase the speed to 2.3 – 2.6 https://gyazo.com/324151527c0c617456fc60b70f183308
If you do not want to disable Swatches, we can offer some changes in a file inside the Core plugin, but you will need manually reupload it after every official update. The speed will be 3.1 – 3.5, the modification is that if a product has both swatches and default select, swatches won’t be shown on Shop page.

@gewoonbovenaan, There is nothing that could block the scripts from our side.
