Extremely slow shop page - by 007 - on WordPress WooCommerce support

Hi, I’m using your theme to launch a client’s website and we’re running into an issue where the Shop page is extremely slow. 1-3 minutes to load the page when logged in as admin.

I’m seeing a ton of these in the error logs if that helps:

POST /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php HTTP/1.0

CPU on this server is reaching 100% at all times and it’s a powerful server that should more than be able to handle this woocommerce site with 9 products.

One of the slow queries on the page is an update query setting postmeta “meta_value” for one of the attachments. Why would this query be running on the shop page?

The cached version of this page when logged out loads pretty quickly, but when logged in, it’s very slow.

When we switched to the default WP theme to troubleshoot, the problem went away entirely and the page loaded instantly.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

I also have a very slow store page. I even bought an expensive hosting. support says that the problem is not in the hosting. https://onsofa.online/shop/ what are the possible solutions and optimizations?

Hello,

1) Your site is not very fast even with the default theme. Compare:
XStore theme – https://gtmetrix.com/reports/onsofa.online/7WxseHdS/
Storefront theme – https://gtmetrix.com/reports/onsofa.online/iHKGWltc/
2) I see that you use 2 page builders. I would recommend you to recreate WPBakery pages and static blocks using the Elementor page builder and then disable the WPBakery page builder. Using 2 page builders at the same time slows down your site because the page builder uses a lot of resources and calls additional JS, CSS files.

3) I installed the cache plugin and made some changes in Theme Options > Speed optimization. Now speed result of the shop page is the following –
