I recently updated to the latest theme and now the category pages show the full size images instead of the thumbnails. I’ve never seen this before. Should be a simple fix but I can’t figure it out.

    I’ve tried
    – adjusting images sizes
    – thumbnail regen
    – theme settings

The custom wants to show all products on one page which is bad enough, but some of the images are 2400 x 2400… taking forever to load.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hello,

As I see the images are shown fine:

Are you still experiencing the issue?

The page “looks” fine but the images shown are the original full size images. If your right click and view image info, open in another tab etc. (depending on browser), you will see that this is the case.

It makes more sense to show the thumbhnails on this page (especially since there is no image zoom) for faster page loads. This only started happening after the latest update – unless of course the client has been playing around.

Either way, I could use some help with this.

    Hello,

Sorry but your issue is a bit unclear. The original image dimensions are 1 808px × 1 808px and on the Shop page it’s scaled to 200px × 200px.
As you can see from the screenshot in the previous post the images are shown resized and not of their full size.

    Thank you.
    Regards,
    Eva Kemp.

I think you may be missing the point. I am trying to decrease load time.

The images are NOT resized images. We are seeing the full size image that is being SCALED to 200px using CSS.

When you upload images to WordPress a thumbnail image size is created. This is the image that I want to use.

My goal is decrease load time. This cannot be accomplished using full size images that are scaled in the CSS.

I want to show the resized thumbnail image on the page not the full size image scaled using CSS. This is how the page rendered before the last IDStore update.

I don’t know how else to explain this!!!!!

Let’s use your own demo site as an example.

    http://themeforest.net/item/idstore-responsive-multipurpose-ecommerce-theme/full_screen_preview/4792186

The shop page shows product images that are RESIZED

Here is an example of the images used on this page

Please note the “270×370” in the file name.

I figured it out for myself. I would consider buying more of your products if you had a better support process. You can have a ticket system that saves tickets to forum when completed.
