Product sorting doesn’t work (sort by more recent)

Hello,

I have enabled to show product variations as single products and have set the product sorting to sort by more recent. If I change the publish date of the product to be the most recent, the sorting doesn’t change.

Hello,

Try to disable all the third-party plugins (including cache plugins), that do not come bundled with XStore https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/plugins/included-plugins/ , clear cache of browser, and check then. Maybe one of the additional plugins is a reason for the problem.

I tried disabling all plugins and didn’t work. The sorting works as normal only when I disable the feature to show variations as simple products.

The old thread was about sorting specific variations manually. This one is about sorting variations by recent date, but the sorting would come from parent products.

When I change the publish date of a parent product to be the latest uploaded, and the sorting in theme options is “show most recent” all the variations applied to this product should display first on the shop page.

It doesn’t make any sense to not be able to sort products even by date.

I found a solution through a plugin, however, It is something temporary as I’m not willing to pay on a yearly basis for a basic feature like this. Could you keep searching for a solution? I would greatly appreciate it.

Please don’t ever make any changes to the live website again. I have hundreds of active visitors .

We are looking for a solution to the existing issue, so we need to make changes to the test. Are you able to create a staging site (full copy of the production) to allow us to proceed?
