Almost none of my clients are able to make use of the sidebar off-canvas icon on mobile. It looks like it’s because the <a>
of the button is too tiny, because every time when they try clicking on the icon, the product behind the icon opens. How can I fix this?
It helps when you swipe right from the icon, but the clients device takes you back one page, as this is a function of the iOS.

If you test, please test on a real mobile device, as it is here the challenge occur.
Here you can see a video, where I try to click on the filter/sidebar button, but it only worked on the third try. And the first two attempts ended up open the product on the back. https://files.fm/f/s2s2p8ems

Hello,
1/ We’ve tried to disable YITH WooCommerce Ajax Product Filter Premium plugin – https://prnt.sc/r6gGz7WvswRy but it is visible on the frontend still – https://prnt.sc/z9owhU7IjMV0 , so there is a cache of some sort that we can’t clear. Please check
2/ Do you face the problem with the sidebar icon on any of our demos?
We can see a lot of additional customization and plugins on your site, and the reason for the problem can be there.
Do you have the mentioned issue when parent theme is activated on your site?
Regards
Thank you, Rose Tyler
I tried removing the custom code on the child stylesheet, and found the button working after that. So I will just need to find the correct code, that is causing this.
Edit: Was perhaps too quick to reply. Hadn’t tested on mobile device. Still an issue there. I’ll let you know in a bit.
Steps tried:
– Using the Parent theme
– Removing custom code from child style file
– removing CSS from theme customization page (theme options)
Nothing worked. I tested the demos, and could see that it worked well there. So there is some issue on my page.
Maybe some plugin. So I will try deactivating plugins now.
EDIT: Tried deactivating all plugins, and the issue is STILL there.
FYI: I’ve deactivated the YITH product filter plugin.
Hello,
Thanks for your replies. Have you found the reason for the problem?
Regards
No, absolutely clueless!
Hello,
Sorry for the delay in answering.
Fixed by adding custom CSS code https://prnt.sc/aX2I2Sxt4nhy
Please clear cache of browser on your mobile and check now.

Perfect. Thank you!
Hello again.
I only now discovered, that this fix was the cause of another problem, that I’ve been struggling with.1
The custom code caused the products and the top filter on mobile category pages being unclickable:
When you guide through categories on mobile, the products, filters and wishlist are not clickable. The filter button to the left is working.
It’s only when you reload the given page, that the products are clickable again.
Hello, @Vaporizer,
I have just checked your site now and it is working perfectly fine for me on my mobile, please watch this video I have captured for you, the filters are simply clicking and working fine on category pages.

Regards 8Themes Team.
Try starting here: https://skalkur.fo/product-category/100/10001/
Then use the side filter icon to guide to the ‘T-shirt’ menu item.
Then try clicking on a product or filter?
As you see on my attachment, it doesn’t work.
Hello,
Thanks for the video. I’ve passed this topic to our dev team, and I will let you know their answer soon.
