How would I activate the buy now button.

Hello,

You can enable the buy now button on single product page via Theme Options > WooCommerce > Single product page > single product layout > Buy Now Button > on.
Or you can try to activate “Redirect to the cart page after successful addition” in WooCommerce > Settings > Products
