    Hello,

Does having more Images (Total images) on the Media section of WordPress slow down the website or does it have any affect on the performance?

Lets say website #1 has a total of 1,000 images
and website #2 has 500 images

Will this place a part on the website performance?

    Thanks for your help!

Or will it depend on the images which are on a specific page when that page is loaded?

    Hello, @TFS,

No, it won’t. The size of the media library is not related to individual page load time… However, the number of assets from the media library you use in an individual post and the size of each asset will impact page speed.

Page load times depend, among other things, on how many images you have on your page. Images which are in the library but not on the page should not affect the load time.
