After the most recent update to xstore core version 3.18.0 , my header categories (gold, silver, platinum/palladium) when hovered over, does not show the sub categories. Site search function also is returning ***Forbidden*** in both desktop and mobile versions.
Hello @Wep287,
We recommend that you update the XStore theme and XStore Core plugin to the latest versions. The latest versions are XStore 9.0.4 and XStore Core plugin 5.0.4. You can view the changelog here: https://xstore.8theme.com/update-history/.
We also suggest that you read our theme documentation to update the theme: https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/theme-installation/theme-update/.
I have checked your site and found no issues. The header menu and submenus are working correctly when hovered over, and the search function is also working correctly. On your site, the search function only works for searching by category. To change or set the search result sorting, simply navigate to XStore > Theme Options > Header Builder > Search, where you can turn the result sorting on or off as needed. I have created a video for you to watch for better reference:https://www.veed.io/view/e88f1f5c-f5f6-4554-8f5e-d36e2bc696be?sharingWidget=true&panel=share

The sub categories (gold, silver, platinum, palladium)still do not populate the sub menu when hovered over. Youll see it is not working when hovered over “silver” , there should be a sub menu populating with “silver coins, silver bars, silver rounds” it is the same for all four metals.
It is since the most recent update on Feb 14th that this problem started. 9.0.4 as well as 5.0.4 plugin.
There is a conflict, when I deactivate xstore core, the problem stops. then when I re activate it, the problem returns.
Hello @Wep287,
We suggest disabling all third-party plugins (including cache plugins) that do not come bundled with XStore (https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/plugins/included-plugins/), clearing the cache of the browser, and then checking again. It is possible that one of the additional plugins is causing the issue.
If the issue persists, please keep all third-party plugins deactivated on your site and grant permission to debug your site, which includes deactivating all third-party plugins and on-site Customization. Please note that you should take a complete backup of your site first.
Additionally, please provide your valid/working site WP Admin URL and credentials in the private content area of this topic, so that we can investigate further.
Best Regards,
8Theme’s Team
