    Hello,

You need use header type 2 or 3 in Theme Options > Header to have transparent menu background.

    Thank you.

    Hello,

Have you made any changes in the original theme files?
Please update WordPress to the latest version as well.

    Thank you.

There were no changes made to the original files just some CSS modifications I’m being told. I have someone who is customising the theme for me as I am a bit of a technophobe.
We are using the most up to date WP also………..

    Hello,

Some plugins are causing the issues. When I deactivate 3rd-party plugins the header was shown transparent.
Please disable the plugins one by one to find out what is causing the problem.

    Thank you.
