    Hello,

when we make the product, a variable product. it gives us to make a choice via a drop down menu.
how can we change that to different blocks/buttons instead? so the customer can select the “blocks/buttons” versus the drop down menu.

we have added some examples in the PCA.

    thanks!

If you would like to modify the attribute style, please follow the steps below:

    1. Navigate to the WordPress Dashboard
    2. Select Products > Attributes
    3. Select Edit Attribute
    4. Select Type > Label (square)
    5. Update the changes

    Hello Tony,

    Thanks!
And now how do/can we select this for certain products?

    We added one attribute called;

    Size & Models
    size-models (is the slug)
    Checked the enable archives button
    Type is = label (square)
    Customer ordering

But are not sure what to do next in terms of showing it for a specific product?

    Hello, @PR,

To show the newly added attribute for a specific product on your website, you can follow these steps:

    1. Log in to your WordPress admin panel.

2.Navigate to “Products” and click on “All Products.”

    3. Find and edit the specific product for which you want to display the attribute.

    4. Within the product editor, locate the “Product Data” section.

    5.Click on the “Attributes” tab.

6.You should see a list of attributes that have been created. Find the attribute you added and check the box next to it to enable it for this product.

7.Save the changes to update the product.

Once you’ve completed these steps, the newly added attribute should be visible on the product page for the specific product you edited. Customers will be able to see and select the attribute when viewing that product

Remember to clear any caching plugins or server-side caching if you do not see the changes immediately on the front-end of your website.

Additionally, you can find an official Woocommerce article about product attributes here: https://woocommerce.com/document/managing-product-taxonomies/#product-attributes.

We hope this will solve your issue.

It still shows a drop down menu.
Is there anyway to make this section boxes?

is it possible to make a demo video for this issue?

    Hello Tony,

    thanks!
so basically we don’t need any 3rd party plugin (variation switches) as this comes with the theme already?

also, would we need to do this for all products we would like this on? meaning the boxes versus the drop down menu?

because if you go on a product -> make it a variable product and then add the variations and click update, the website will show the variations in a drop down menu form (not boxes)

    Thanks for your clarification 🙂

    Hello, @PR,

1.No, you do not require a third-party plugin for this. Xstore has an in-built option for variation swatches.

    2. You only need to edit the Products > Attribute and select the type dropdown to assign a particular attribute to the product. This will work on all products to which you have assigned a particular attribute.

    We hope this helps.

    Hello,

Yes, here is a video about our variation swatches – https://youtu.be/LgzC4iK-j6A

Please watch also video about the variable product type from WooCommerce – https://woocommerce.com/document/variable-product/ Each variation can have its own price.

P.S. Two different product attributes are available in WooCommerce, local and global product attributes. In WooCommerce both options are called attributes, but there is a difference in the functionality of these attributes.
Global attributes: These are the properties that you will find in the WP-Admin under Product > Attributes. All attributes created here are at on a global website level and can be used with all products.
Local attributes: These attributes are created when you create or edit a product. You cannot use these attributes to filter and they are only visible on the product page itself.
You need to use global attributes for our variation swatches https://youtu.be/LgzC4iK-j6A and for elements.

    Best Regards,
    8Theme’s Team.
