Some font file URLs and images not updating to new domain address

    Hi,

    I have a hosting for the WordPress site, in which I installed the theme and imported a demo. Once I got the domain name, I redirected the DNS to the hosting, and everything is going fine, except for some font files and images, which are being requested to the “old” address, the one for the hosting.

    If you open the Developer Tools, and then Console, you can see the error files. Some resources are being requested to https://77487a.eolani.shared.1984.is/wp-content/uploads/custom-fonts/2023/08/Outfit-Medium.ttt, instead of being requested to https://hash2wear.com/wp-content/uploads/custom-fonts/2023/08/Outfit-Medium.ttf

    My guess is that the URL is hardcoded in some CSS section in the HTML once the import was performed.

    The site URL is correctly set in the WordPress settings, and everything else in the theme is being loaded pointing to the right address. I don’t know how to solve this.

    Connect to your server using FTP and remove all folders inside wp-content/fonts/ folder and wp-content/uploads/custom-fonts/ . After that go to Theme Options > choose necessary fonts and save settings.

    Make sure that custom fonts are uploaded in XStore Dashboard > Custom Fonts.

    Thanks for your message.

    Did that, but nothing has changed. Now I have nothing below those folders, and it keeps requesting the same fonts.

    About this step: “Theme Options > choose necessary fonts and save settings”.
    Could you offer some screenshots?

    It seems like that could be the problem. I want to know if that URL is hardcoded or extracted from somewhere else.

    Hello, Hash2wear,

    Go to XStore Dashboard > Custom Fonts > Upload custom fonts. Then go to Theme Options > Typography > re-select fonts for content and headings.

    Concerning the Theme Custom CSS, I’ve already searched there, but the fragment I sent you is not present there. You should import this Demo into your setup and see it for yourself.

    Concerning the first one, this has no effect on the problem.

    Any other ideas please?

    Please provide us with temporary wp-admin access, so we can check your settings.

    To provide wp-admin access, you can create a new user account with administrator role via the Dashboard, and provide us with the username and password via the Private Content area.

    That CSS code was in the database. I’ve made a replace in the wp_posts table, and the CSS code has been replaced, but since you’ve told me to delete the fonts in the folders, it can’t find the fonts 🙁

    To create account, please follow these steps:
    – Create an account via Dashboard (Users > Add new) with administrator role. Refer to the following image for guidance: http://prntscr.com/s3rc9m
    – Provide us with the username and password for the newly created account via the Private Content area. Refer to the following image for guidance: http://prntscr.com/s5mao7
    – Any email address can be used for the new account, it does not have to be your personal email.

    Also, you can contact your hosting provider and ask for assistance from their side also, because “redirected the DNS to the hosting” is not directly related to the theme. They may have a backup for you, or maybe they already faised a similar situation with other customers.

    Did you try re-select fonts via Theme Options, and uploading the required custom Fonts as we mentioned above?
