    Dear Support Team

I have built a website for a client using the XStore Theme.

The client requested the following two changes in mobile view:

    1) That the Menu and Categories under the Hamburger menu be swopped around.
    2) That the menu content in the bottom menu on mobile be deleted and just the Fetch/Repair/Return and contact us remains.

Will you please assist in pointing me in the right direction.

    Hello, @Eitel,

Thank you so much for purchasing our theme and contacting our support center.

    1) Should you desire to modify the Menu and Categories within the Hamburger menu on mobile view, kindly proceed to XStore > Theme Options > Header builder > Mobile Menu. Here, you can adjust all available settings according to your specific needs and subsequently publish it.

Further, You have the ability to add or remove a menu by navigating to the WordPress dashboard, then selecting ‘Appearance’ followed by ‘Menus’.

Please refer to the attached image for further guidance.

We kindly request you to peruse our theme documentation pertaining to Menu Set Up. https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/menu-set-up/

    2) We regret to inform you that your request is somewhat unclear to us. We kindly request you to provide a detailed description of the issue you are facing and what exactly you want.

Additionally, it would be greatly beneficial if you could provide a screenshot of the problem. Also, create temporary wp-admin access, This will allow us to further investigate the matter and provide you with the necessary assistance.

Thank you for your cooperation and we look forward to hearing from you soon.

    Best Regards,
    8Theme’s Team.

    Hi Support Team

    Thank you for your response.

In respect of the 1st point, Swopping out the Menu and Categories is not possible by visiting XStore > Theme Options > Header builder > Mobile Menu

The “Select Menu” Section does not make provision for The Categories to be selected although the “Additional Tab Content” makes provision for a Menu.

Is there perhaps a way to swop the Menu and Categories around with CSS? If so, which elements should be targeted with the CSS code?

As requested I have added you as Admin on the website to perhaps have a look at it yourself. The details are shared in the Private Content Area.

In respect of the 2nd point please see the image at https://imgur.com/V1nfZZJ The client requested that the items be removed and only the Fetch/Repair/Return and Contact us links remains which are currently nested in the “More” link.

    Regards
    Eitel

    Hello, @Eitel,

    Thank you for your response.

    1) We apologize for any confusion that may have arisen.

We would like to clarify the process of creating and using the mobile menu. The mobile menu allows you to create and utilize a separate menu specifically for mobile devices. This feature is particularly useful if you wish to display a simpler menu on a mobile device.

In the section Theme Locations, you can choose which custom menu to associate with each location.

To create a new menu, navigate to the Dashboard > Appearance > Menus page and click on the create a new menu link. Then, you can add Pages, Posts and Custom Links from blocks located on the left. When you have your menu items arranged in the order you want, click on Save Menu.

We kindly request you to peruse our theme documentation regarding Menu Set Up, which can be found at the following link: https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/menu-set-up/
    https://www.8theme.com/documentation/docs/general-information/

We appreciate your attention to this matter.

    2) The items on the Mobile bottom menu panel have been configured via the following pathway: Xstore >> Theme Options >> Mobile Panel >> Main Configurations >> Section.

You have the option to add or remove items according to your needs. For further clarification, please refer to this screenshot: https://postimg.cc/SJqW3Hr8

Additionally, the ‘more toggle’ item displays content from the Menu or Static Block that you have selected to appear beneath it. For a visual guide, please refer to this screenshot: https://postimg.cc/zHnWcF6q

To modify the content of the ‘toggle menu’ item on the mobile bottom panel, we recommend creating a new menu under Appearance >> Menu. Set this as the ‘More toggle 01 Menu’, publish it, and it should display your preferred menu items.

    Best Regards,
    8Theme’s Team.

    Dear Support Team

My apologies for the delay in my response. I only get to work on this website on Fridays as the client is uploading products and other content to the website duriong the week.

The matter discussed under point 2 above has been resolved thanks to your assistance.

In respect of the first problem discussed above I am not able to find the “Manage Locations” tab in order to complete the process as described in the document you referred me to. The matter remains unresolved. I have read up on the possible causes of why the “Manage Locations” tab is not showing being displayed and most articles refers to a possible Theme conflict.

Please assist me with this problem. I have selected all screen elements under the screen options.

    Kind regards
    Eitel

    Hi Support Team

My desired goal is extremely simple and straight forward. I am however new to the theme and cannot resolve it myself.

    The desired goal is:

Swap the Menu and Categories as indicated in the screenshot below. As much as I appreciate your video I do not understand what is being done in the absence of a voice explaining what is being done.

Screenshot of swapping Menu and Categories on Mobile Menu

Please just help me to swap them around or create a new video in which you explain what you are doing. Both the Menu and Categories are to be found in Appearance >> Menu

    Kind regards

I have now managed to swop the Menu and Categories as per your guidance, thank you. The only outstanding matter will be to change the title from menu to “Categories” as per the screenshot. https://imgur.com/a/nrHUayH

    Hello, @Eitel,

    We appreciate your prompt response.

If you wish to change/translate the word “Menu” off canvas mobile, You need to install the Loco translate plugin.

Please watch this video – https://youtu.be/WYBlzdJs5PU
and read our theme doucmentation: https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/theme-translation/base-theme-translation/

Following your request, you are required to translate the XStore core plugin in order to modify the specified word according to your needs.

Please refer to the attached images for guidance.

    Hi Support Team

I have followed your instructions as far as it made sense to me. I have installed the Loco Translation Plugin. I have not imported a Language to translate the website to since only the one title “Menu” need to be changed to “Categories”. The screen shown to me after searching for the Menu string does not show a translation tab as in your image.

    Please see my screenshot. https://imgur.com/a/rw4p5mx

Can we please bring this matter to a conclusion? Since you have access to the website and I cannot follow the instructions, will you please change the menu title on mobile for me to “Categories” and make a recording of how you did it so that I can learn from that for future projects?

    Kind regards
    Eitel
