Why can’t my xstore theme connect to my website

“ We are unable to connect to the XStore API with the XStore theme. Please check your SSL certificate or white lists.
cURL error 28: Operation timed out after 5000 milliseconds with 0 out of 0 bytes received”

There is such a warning at the top
