Hi, I want to add a different banner image to every category and sub-category of my website separately. Every banner image will look different and reflect each main category’s topic and sub-category. How can I resolve this issue? Is there a video that can help guide me instead of step-by-step through text, as it is easier with video for my disability?
Looking forward to your suggestions!
Regards, Carmelina
Hello, @Bark,
Thank you for contacting us and for using XStore.
You can add a banner at the top of each category page and sub-category. Please go to Products > Categories > edit category > add content into Description area.
it can be a static block shortcode.
We have recorded a video for you, please watch it and follow the steps shown in the video under the private content area.
We sincerely hope that this assistance proves beneficial to you.
Best regards,

Can I get that video also please. I did steps from: https://www.8theme.com/documentation/documentation/troubleshooting/how-to-add-slider-banner-in-product-category-page/
And category image is not showing up. Please see the link shared in private area.:
Also see the attached screenshot, where I tried adding the image as mentioned in the help document.
Ideally I want, a different custom header image for each main and sub category.
I tried adding image in ‘Custom page heading image for this category’ and in ‘Description after content’
Neither one worked. Please advise.
Hello, @Shravan Ramaram,
Thank you for contacting us and for using XStore.
We are pleased to inform you that the issue you reported has been successfully resolved. To see the changes, please clear your browser’s cache and revisit your site.
We have implemented an archive description widget in the product archive template, which has addressed the problem you were experiencing. As a result, the category description should now display correctly.
For the next step, we kindly ask you to insert the static block shortcode into the description area and verify the functionality.
For your reference, we have attached an image that illustrates this setup.
We hope this resolves your concerns.
