    Hi Dear,

I have hosted xstore theme on 2 sites (on the same server). Below are the URLs.

    https://modami.lk
    https://test2.modami.lk

Both of them have the same content (Products) and no much modification done on the home page.

However, the site loading have huge differenc. (Main site is loading in 9 seconds where as the test site is loading in 3 seconds.).

Can you please advise why is that? (Only difference I have is that the test site is configured with PHP 8.3).

    Appreicate your support.

    Dear Vijith,

We hope this message finds you well. We have noticed that the homepage of your website contains a high number of images. To enhance your site’s loading speed and overall performance, we recommend enabling the ‘Lazy Load Images’ feature. You can do this by navigating to XStore > Speed Optimization > Image Loading Type > Lazy. For your convenience, here is a direct link to the setting: https://tinyurl.com/26nvf6ul

Additionally, we suggest using an image compression plugin to further optimize your website’s media files. Plugins such as Imagify or Smushit are excellent choices:

    – Imagify: https://wordpress.org/plugins/imagify/
    – Smushit: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wp-smushit/

Implementing these changes should significantly improve your website’s loading times and overall user experience.

    Best regards,

    Dear Rossi,

Thank you for the prompt response. Now I have removed all the images from my home page and I do not see any major difference in loading.

Please note that all my images are OFFLOADED to Digital Ocean Space and are not served from the server on which I have hosted this website. (I have given the best configuration for the server with 5GB RAM & 8vCPUs) with NGNIX.

Can you please double check now? Also, if I can change the PHP to 8.3.

    Dear Rossi,

Thank you for your recommendation. But my question is not cleared.

Initially, I got a reply saying “My website Home page have got a lot of Images” – I REMOVED THEM ALMOST COMPLETELY.

And Now, i just have almost a blank page. Does this theme requries a “Caching” Plugin even to load an almost empty page? I really dont get it.

For example – The SHOP page which has got vast number of images but it is loading in a second OR two.

But only the HOME page is having issue… (I am now even removing the components from the Mega Menu) – Appreciate your support if there is any blocking script or something?

    Dear Vijith,

We hope this message finds you well. We have noticed that the loading time for your shop page is approximately 11 seconds. For your reference, we have attached a screenshot illustrating this issue.

Upon reviewing your site, we observed that you have an extensive inventory of over 4000 products, which may be contributing to slower query responses when retrieving product data. With a large amount of your products, we suggest you to use a cache plugin.

To potentially alleviate this issue, could you please consider temparorily disable the XStore Wishlist/Compare feature and then re-evaluating the performance?

We appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to your response.

    Thank you!

    Dear Rossi,

I completely understand the huge number of Products we have on our site. However, the real problem is the HOME page loading is too slow even though i have not listed any single product on it.

    Hope you get me.

    Dear @Vijith,

I hope this message finds you well.

We have reviewed the content volume on your homepage and noticed that it appears to be reduced, possibly due to the removal of certain sections by yourself. Consequently, the loading speed of your homepage is currently performing within normal parameters.

Also, we recommend you to limit by 15-20 product categories on your home page. And set the image size to the optimal size of this element as we currently unable to check it as you are in editor of this page.

At this moment, there seems to be no issues with the loading speed, and it is functioning efficiently. Therefore, there is no further action required from our side at this point.

Should you have any more questions or need further assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out.

    Best regards,
