Child theme not activated yet, is there any issue

    Hello Team,

    I have just noticed that the theme on the website doesn’t have a child theme installed. Will this have any impact on the website in the future?

    Also, if we want to install a child theme now, can we do it?
    If yes, How can we install a child theme, and will it cause any current theme data on the website to disappear?

    Pls, tell me in brief about this matter.

    Regarding your concern about the absence of a child theme, it is generally advisable to use a child theme when making customizations. This approach ensures that your modifications are preserved when the parent theme is updated. Without a child theme, there is a risk that custom changes could be lost during an update.

    Fortunately, you can indeed install a child theme at this stage. Installing a child theme will not affect the current data. However, any customizations directly made to the parent theme files would need to be manually transferred to the child theme.

    To install a child theme, you can follow these steps:
    – Download the child theme archive from this page – https://www.8theme.com/downloads/
    – Go to Appearance > Themes > install the child theme, but do not activate yet.
    – Please note that the child theme does not inherit the theme options of the parent theme, if you enable the child theme, you need to import options from the parent theme.
    Go to Theme Options (when the parent theme is activated) > Import/Export > download the export file. After that Activate the child theme (Appearance > Themes) > go to Theme Options > Import/Export > import your options and reload the page without saving! Save options only after reloading. Check your site after that, and use the child theme.

    I hope You guys are well. I understand what you’re saying, but exporting and then importing seems a bit risky. Since you are the theme owner and have the necessary professional technical knowledge, it would be easier for you to handle this.

    I kindly request that you install a child theme for me to prevent any data loss and ensure that the child theme is set up correctly. It is a small request, and if you could manage this, it would be greatly appreciated.

    Please ensure that no data is lost and that the existing customizations remain intact. I & your team members have also added a considerable amount of code through the WP CODE plugin, so please make sure there are no changes to this code.

    If you could install the child theme, it would be very kind of you.

    I received a message from some of our users indicating that our website has been quite slow since this morning. I haven’t made any recent changes, but I suddenly recalled that we have installed a child theme. Could this be the cause of the issue?

    Could you please check the website to identify the reason for the slow speed? Images and videos are loading quite slowly, even though the W3 Cache plugin you suggested is activated. Despite this, the website is still performing poorly.

    I understand and appreciate the significant effort you have put into optimizing the website speed, and I too have been working diligently on this issue daily. The website’s speed is indeed performing well, which is why I wanted to ask if you could please check it once more.

    It seems that there may be a misunderstanding or frustration, as I’ve noticed some communication regarding refunds. I want to emphasize that almost two months were invested in developing this website, and a refund would essentially nullify the effort put into it. I genuinely appreciate the quality of your theme, theme interface, theme advanced features, everything is superb;  however, we are still facing issues with speed optimization.

    Initially, the website had a score above 90+, which was excellent. However, the score has now dropped to 15-20, and I am unable to understand why this is happening despite all the efforts. I am requesting you, as the developer of the theme who has complete knowledge of the code and technical aspects, to review the situation once more.

    I kindly request you to identify and resolve the major performance issues so that the website speed can be optimized effectively. Your expertise would be invaluable in pinpointing the problem and ensuring it is resolved.

    I understand your points and see that they are related to coding. As I’ve mentioned before, I am not very familiar with coding. If I were, I wouldn’t need your help; I would simply handle the coding and create the website myself.
    The problem is that I don’t know how to code, as I am a designer. I can only work on the design aspects of your theme. If I try to write or modify code, even a small mistake could break the entire website.

    So, I have a simple request: could you please write and implement the necessary code to improve the website’s speed? This would help in optimizing the site’s performance. I understand you may be frustrated, and I acknowledge that, but I am in a difficult position and need your help.

    Hey Guys,

    Hello, sir. I have received a video from a user where the products on the home page are not loading, and there’s a loading spinner spinning continuously. You had enabled AJAXIFY on the home page a couple of days ago, and you also mentioned that I should apply this to all pages, which I did.

    Could you please check why this issue is occurring? It seems like the website is loading very slowly, and users might think it’s not performing well. Please look into this issue and let me know why it’s happening and how it can be fixed. Your help would be greatly appreciated.

    And regarding the hidden content that you asked me to disable, I have also deleted it to a great extent.

    I have sent you a video where you can see that the products and images are loading very slowly. The website is preloading, but the images and products are not appearing. Additionally, even after scrolling down, the “We Love Feedback” section’s image and review are not loading. Why is this happening?

    And if you could fix this for me, I would be very grateful.

    Dear Team,

    Thank you very much for reviewing and implementing the changes in the “We Love Feedback” section. However, the error is still present on the entire home page, as shown in the video I sent you yesterday and today also. For example, under the slider on the home page, there are sections like “Bagwani Top Selling Product”, “Healthy Combos” and “Bagwani Skin Friend,” followed by the olive oil video. These sections are not loading correctly and are just spinning in circles.

    Additionally, these sections are taking a long time to load. My ads on Meta and Google are bringing users to the site, but they are leaving because they see these spinning circles. This is causing me a significant problem, as users are staying for only 2-3 seconds and then leaving, which is severely affecting the performance of my website.

    I request that you check this thoroughly and address it as soon as possible. I am sending you a video created by one of my users; please watch it carefully so you can understand the issue.

    Moreover, no products are being added to the cart. When users click the “Add to Cart” button, it just keeps loading, but the product doesn’t get added to the cart, and users can’t proceed to the next page.

    This is a small but urgent request. Please check everything carefully to identify and resolve the problem. I have put a lot of effort into creating this website, and it’s disheartening to see it not functioning well.

    As you suggested, I deactivated the Xstore Ajaxify option on the website’s home page. But you previously told me to activate it again. Are you not aware that deactivating this option can make the website load much more slowly? Didn’t you know that? Can you pls check what’s the major issue?

    Furthermore, we have reviewed the functionality of your “Add to Cart” action and found no issues, as it appears that the Ajax functionality is currently not activated for this action.

    The biggest issue is that the “Add to Cart” feature on the product page isn’t working. On any product page, there are two options: “Add to Cart” and “Buy Now.” However, when you click “Add to Cart,” it just keeps loading and doesn’t proceed further.
    I’ve checked and found that the Ajaxify option is disabled, but even so, it’s still just loading without moving forward. I’ve also shared a video showing that it keeps loading for about 20 seconds and doesn’t move to the next page.
    Could you please check this issue? It seems like there might be an error that we’re not able to identify. Your help in fixing this would be greatly appreciated.

    Also, we noticed that now you are using the Slider Revolution on your home page. This plugin is a bit heavy in sources-depended so it loads few more styles and scripts there.

    Regarding the slider resolution issue, your team member installed it on my behalf and added the video. They also mentioned that you should convert the video to WebM format for better compatibility. What’s the solution for this now? Could you please take a look and see if there’s anything you can do to help?

    The biggest issue comes from the Instagram images from the 3rd-party plugin you are using for displaying on home page

    You mentioned that there’s a significant load issue on the website with this social media plugin, so the Xstore theme has an option to connect the Instagram account using the Instagram API. Can we use this feature? If so, could you please explain how to connect my Instagram account with this option? or should we delete this particular option for better website improvement.?
    pls, elaborate on this.

    Last but not least, the major issue is with GTmetrix. Currently, the performance score is 36. actually, I only know how to use the LiteSpeed Cache plugin for website performance, but I got a 503 error in the website previously, and you advised uninstalling it. You then suggested using the W3 Total Cache plugin, which I have installed, but the website speed issue persists.

    Can you please provide the best solution how to improve the website’s performance? It’s important for me that the solution is effective because a slow website negatively impacts user experience. I remember you mentioned that the score should be 90+; however, it’s still not improved. Please use your professional skills and understanding of this technology and theme, improving the website’s score in GTmetrix should be feasible for you.

    Please address this issue, aiming for at least an 80% improvement. I am asking for your help to make the website more user-friendly.
    Could you please improve the website’s performance using the W3 Total Cache plugin or by applying 1-2 important code optimizations? We’re aiming to achieve at least an 80% score. Your help in making these improvements would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello Dear Team,

    We are currently facing a major issue with the “Add to Cart” functionality. I’ve checked it on all my mobile devices and desktops, but it’s not working. Users are frustrated because when they try to add products to the cart, it just keeps spinning, and when they go to the cart, it shows as empty. This is a huge problem because it’s preventing users from shopping.

    We have also made improvements to the content of your homepage by replacing the Revolution slider template with a simpler and more efficient ‘Video’ widget from Elementor to display your video content.

    Hello Team,

    if you are not planning using it on any other pages, you can delete the plugin.

    Right now, I only used Slider Revolution for the homepage video, but since you mentioned that it can be set using Elementor itself, it seems I don’t need it anymore. So, will I delete it because keeping inactive plugins isn’t useful?

    Also, I’m thinking of changing my hosting plan. Can you suggest which company and plan I should choose?
    My site is a startup with around 400-500 users daily because of ads.

    For CPU, RAM, and especially I/O, what should I look for according to your theme?

    I’d prefer an Indian server if you can guide me.

    Hello Dear Team,

    I hope you guys are very well.

    As you mentioned about the hosting. Two days ago, I made some major changes to my hosting, and now it has an updated version with 4 vCPUs and 4GB of RAM, with 25MBPS I/O and unmetered bandwidth. Everything is running quite well, and my website is loading fine.

    However, I checked my page speed on Google Metrix, and it still shows a low score of around 30+ for the mobile version. I removed the Slider Revolution plugin as you suggested, and I also deleted the video that was on the homepage and under the header, which you said was taking a lot of time to load.

    Now, there’s just a simple carousel with 2-3 photos, and I’ve also deleted some hidden elements.

    But still, my speed is showing slow. Can you please check and let me know what else I can do to improve the speed?

    I hope you guys are very well.

    Hello sir, as you mentioned some images on the home page are taking time to load, I have already uploaded all my images in WebP format, so they are already compressed. However, you are suggesting installing the Tiny PNG plugin. Will this plugin optimize WebP images further and potentially improve my website’s speed even more? In your opinion, should I install this plugin? or is this plugin the same as Imagify.?

    Also, regarding the social feed plugin you mentioned that connects to Instagram, will the images be auto-optimized with this Tiny PNG plugin? Since Instagram images are typically JPEG or PNG,  will they be optimized through this plugin?

    Another thing, I saw an Instagram feed option in the Xstore theme. Can we connect our Instagram through this default theme option instead of the social feed plugin? If we switch to the Xstore theme’s default option for Instagram feed, will it impact the speed? If yes, could you please guide us on how to use the Xstore theme’s default option for this?

    Your guidance on these matters would be very helpful. Pls, guide me on this.

    We previously recommended optimizing your website images using TinyPNG service but no separated plugin. If you have managed to optimize your images by other means, that is perfectly acceptable.
