Hello,
I have seen that the last update had several new feautures, unfortonatly my website is in bakkery so i cant seem to use them, the one i was looking for is the new search bar features, i have my search bar and categoires here: https://prnt.sc/rN3bS3pG800D
And i wanted to improve them, is there any alternative to the new feauture for us with bakkery? Could you advice on any way to improve , i wanted to test in the staging website.
Thank you!
Hello @filiphdan,
Thank you for reaching out and sharing your concerns. We appreciate your interest in the latest features from our recent update.
Regarding the new search bar features, we understand that they might not directly align with the current setup of your bakery website. However, such functionality is available only in Elementor based search widgets and was not planned to be implemented in WPBakery ones due to the limitations and less popularity of WPBakery demos with each year according to our analytics and customers’ requests. Anyway, it is always available to leave own request on our Future taskboard -> https://www.8theme.com/roadmap/.
We recommend our clients to import the Elementor based demos as that plugin has much better code quality, new existing features available, has a potentical to become even better with each day. If you are planning to use the WBPakery one, it may be useful to think about creating a staging web-site for migration of the current web-site you have to the Elementor based one.
We look forward to your response and are eager to assist you in improving your website.
Best Regards,
Jack Richardson

Unfortonatly our shop has been online for several years now, and converting everythingh for Elementor for waht i have researched is quite hard, i dont think i could do it, it would have to be remade, its a daunting task…
I do know that elementor is better but for now we have to stick with bakkery until we find a solution to change…
Meanwhile could you give some pointers on how i can improve this categories and search bar in our shop:

Thank you!
Dear @filiphdan,
We would like to inform you that we are not currently planning to implement new features or updates for WPBakery, as it does not align with the modern technical standards and usability requirements that we aim to uphold. Our development efforts are now exclusively focused on Elementor.
Should you be interested in migrating your web-site to Elementor or if you require any additional customizations, we invite you to submit a request through our customization panel at the following link: https://www.8theme.com/account/#etheme_customization_panel.
Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to assisting you with any requirements you might have.
Best Regards,

Hello,
This does not seems to be good news, has i bought your theme and used bakkery because back then you did not even had the option to use Elementor, now that we have the shop running for several years you tell me that you will stop giving updates to bakkery, and how will we do in the future? This means we will start to have problems with new bakkery versions? You will stop updating your theme for bakkery??
Hello @filiphdan
Our current focus is primarily on Elementor plugin due to its more advanced architecture. This means that new and exciting features will mostly be introduced for Elementor. On WPBakery, we are only addressing issues that our clients might encounter, but we are not developing new features for it. The reason is that WPBakery’s architecture is outdated, and developing new features for it may cause more problems for our existing customers, as it could lead to compatibility issues.
Kind regards,
Jack Richardson

Yes i already understood that, but i design my website in bakkery because at the time i had no other option, i will check with your services to see how to solve this, but your response on this matter is not the ideal given the fact that at the time I HAD NO ELEMENTOR OPTION AVAILABLE, and you just seem to ignore that fact.
Thanks!
