    Hello there!

I noticed that random products keep losing their attributes (color and size) and therefore switch from a variable product to a single product within Woocommerce. For example, a shirt is saved as variable product and has attributes Color (red and black) and 3 Sizes (S, M, L). At random times it loses the attributes Color and Size and automatically switches to a “simple product”.

When I try to fix it in the backend I add the Attributes back in and can see in the next steps that it somehow had the variations saved (stock counts and SKUs appear pre-filled correctly).

I cannot replicate the problem, it seems to affect random products at random times. I can’t find a common denominator or pinpoint any event this might be tied to.

Is there anything in your theme that can cause random products to lose their attributes at seemingly random times? How can I fix it?

Thank you very much for your help! Your theme looks fantastic btw!

    Dear Ulla,

We hope this message finds you well. We are currently addressing an issue related to the creation of new products via a WooCommerce plugin.

To assist us in isolating the problem, could you kindly switch to the Storefront theme temporarily and verify if the issue persists? Additionally, please deactivate all third-party plugins, retaining only those essential for the XStore theme as detailed in our documentation: [https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/plugins/included-plugins/](https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/plugins/included-plugins/).

Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated, and we look forward to resolving this issue promptly.

    Best regards,
    The 8Theme Team
