How can I show my category SEO descriptions on a specific category page?
I followed a previous thread –
1. Created a static block with the desired content and added it into the Description area for the category
2. Changed Banner position to “Above all the Shop content.”
Nothing is changing. Default Shop Banner is still showing (even though I deleted that Block). Cache has been cleared. Incognito mode tried.
Using Industrial Power Tools theme. Used Elementor as my Header Builder. Thank you for answers.
Here is how I am trying to get category page to look like. Thanks.
Hello, @Mark Mc317,
Thank you for contacting us and for using XStore.
1/ We have reviewed your website and noticed that you are utilizing a custom product archive layout with Elementor for your shop page. For detailed guidance, please refer to our documentation: [XStore Products Archive Builder with Elementor](https://www.8theme.com/documentation/xstore/xstore-builders/xstore-products-archive-builder-with-elementor/).
To enhance your site further, you have the option to add banners for each specific product category. To do this, please create a new static block tailored to your requirements. Subsequently, you can edit the specific product category and embed the static block shortcode in the description. Ensure you save the settings after making these changes.
Additionally, To assist you in displaying distinct banners for different product category pages, we have prepared a detailed instructional video. We kindly request that you view this video and follow the steps outlined therein to implement this feature effectively.
You can find the video link in the private content area designated for your access.
2/ You can select the position via Theme Options > WooCommerce > Shop > Shop page layout > Shop Page Banner Position, as the category description content takes the position option from there https://prnt.sc/jpx1YcBJ3H6v
If you decide to use static blocks for Descriptions, the full width can be set there.
We trust this resource will be helpful to you. Should you have any further questions or require additional assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Best Regards,
The 8Theme Team
